Goalie pulled IN THE 1st?!? And it WORKED 🀯

The Winnipeg Jets pull their goalie late in the first period with an offensive zone faceoff and Mark Scheifele blasts a one-timer into the back of the net for a goal before time expires, tying the game at 1-1 with the Minnesota Wild.

  1. Roger Neilson is smiling down on the Jets. He was the one who popularized this strategy!

  2. If you're serious about leaving with a goal and shifting the momentum…these O zone faceoffs with no time on the clock to come back and a center who's strong on the draw are fine opportunities for something like this. Well played.

  3. I don't what the stats are, but I've been saying teams should do this more often for years.

  5. Sweet goal to pull the score even. Then the Jets put this one away in OT. Gettin the job done at 3 – 0.
    GO JETS GO!!!

  6. 4 retrds lined up between the circles, and they all move out of the way for a shot to get through πŸ˜†

  7. Good call because there was zero chance that the Wild could win the faceoff and get the puck down the ice and in the net in 2.9 seconds.

  8. I don't know if I'm looking at a goal-line stand or a soccer set piece but, man, the Wild were certainly on one.

  9. What is this cheap thumbnail ? fire this guy it looks like something my kid watches

  10. The Minnesota Wild have given up more goals in the final minute of a period over the last decade than anyone else I feel.
They constantly do this. So frustrating

  11. This is 1 of the many reasons y I think hockey is the best sport!? It's pretty much nonstop excitement and wild crazy and amazing things happen almost every game and anything can happen at anytime in a hockey game!? Especially now where even 3 and sometimes 4 goal leads aren't always safe!!??
