Some dummy told me that actors and actresses have real sex in movies. Shes dumb so i never bothered to take her seriously
I also don't like drawn out sex scenes. That said every once in a while I find one that really adds to the plot. Most of them are not the sexy ones, with nudity. The Good Wife has a few of these scenes with everyone fully covered that really add to understanding the dynamics of the relationships.

Some comments are in favor of removing sex scenes in the movies. Don't get me wrong, a lot of current productions add these scenes unnecessarily when it doesn't have to do with the plot. However, sometimes they are necessary, for example in the 2023 film The Peasants, sex scenes could not be missing. Reymont's secret, which brought him an Oscar, was the depiction of the life of peasants, ordinary people. Love, hate, passion, sex, rape, violence and much more, it is a story about human emotions. We can't just throw away such an important part. Sex can be delicate, tender, it also can be recorded with brutality and shame – this is how rape scenes are created. Let's stop thinking that sex doesn't exist, or sex is everything. It's part of life, one of many. Some actors don't want to play such roles, others don't have a problem with it, and that's totally okay
I always found it really weird when shows have so many sex scenes involving the idea of minors. Most shows you see on Netflix now are just a bunch of young actors playing as children, having sex…? Like I get they are adults but why are grown adults writing such things about teenage characters in their minds.

If young actors r uncomfortable being naked in front of a film crew (which I can imagine most would be), then its probably not a good idea to have implied nudity of them being filmed for millions of ppl to watch anyway. Instead of tiny flesh-colored undies, just cut the sex scenes and let them wear normal clothes :p. I’m sure most fans would respect the decision to cut out a few romance scenes if it protects the actors’ reputations and well-beings

Considering none of us would be here if some form of s*x didn't take place at some point, we as a species really have a weird attitude towards the most basic part of being human. I thing, as long as the cast is treated respectfully and are willing to do a s*x scene, they're perfectly fine. The show Sex Education is brilliant, and does a lot of the education young people can't get in schools.
