Cory Sarich. Dude was solid defensively and used to light people up

  2. Wayf4rer

Definitely Coburn. He was solid for us, just forced to play with Sustr.

  3. Chick3n1i1

    Dan Girardi

    Pavel Kubina

    Anton Strahlman

    Cernak

    Ranger

  4. Cernak.

We have a shit ton of fans that shit all over him but his defensive skills are on point. Injuries aside his blocking and physicality is everything you want in your defenseman

  5. doesnotexist2

Basically anyone who plays with Headman

  6. gord1to

I gotta say Girardi. I wish he got to win with us so bad.

  7. toolschism

100% Stralman for me with Kubina a pretty reasonable second.

  8. elsinore11

I went to a game where Dan Boyle had a hat trick, that’s my vote.

  9. Blitzstyle

Corey Sarich! Dude was a stud for us, a fantastic stay at home defensemen.

    Pavel Kubina would be another.

  10. FernandinaRed

I liked Cory Cross who played during some of our darkest times. Anton Strahlman was great and kept everyone’s head in swivel.

Braydon Coburn. He bailed out Sustr so often the latter almost appeared like he knew what he was doing out there.

  12. Remigius13

    Stralman, Kubina, Boyle, Coburn, Cernak.

  13. 2ndprize

Yall motherfuckers never heard of Jassen Cullimore. The bolts dont win that first cup without that rock solid mother.

  14. cometkeeper00

Tanner over Steve downie is embarrassing

  15. As far as a defenseman who was *literally* underrated, look no further than Shawn Chambers. In NHL 93 by EA Sports, he received an overall rating of 1. Yes, a 1. Can’t be lower rated than that. I mean, I’m not saying he was Nick Lidstrom or anything, but a 1? That’s what I call an underrated defenseman.

Ryan Macdonough, doesn’t score that much nitnd not to many assists but so many plays he starts ends up in goals. Solid defense and a good hockey IQ.

Hit first run with us he is overshadowed by Headman and Sergachev. But without Mac I don’t think we win 2 cups.

  17. owenhartmann

Shattenkirk or Garrison just cuz they haven’t been mentioned yet

  18. blindman86

Sorry if its been posted already but who votes on these things? Is it just based on the comments?

    Stralman btw..

  19. Procedure_Dunsel

Jan Rutta deserves a mention. He was pretty good at breaking up the resulting odd-man when Heddy’s offensive adventures went horribly wrong. Not easy to be Victor’s partner and no one since has done it better.

Stralman spinorama goal lives in my head rent free

  21. I feel like Paul Ranger is the clear winner here, but Stralman is a good choice too.
