I agree questions are stupid forget about Nashville let's be positive and let's get on with the future and bringing that cup to San Jose where it belongs 3:51
Well this is Hertl's replacement. I think it was too risky to trade that much for him but if he is some star goalie it will be worth the price. Before he started this interview I would have said if I was the sharks or Askarov, do not ask him anything about the Nashville trade or his reasons he asked for it. It just made it awkward. It is normal for reporters to ask about it and that would have saved both sides time had they known that.
Sorry guys…there's a reason the Preds, home to a Vezina-winner, a signed Vezina-caliber netminder, and Mitch Korn (once again), decided he needed more seasoning in the AHL and simply wasn't ready. The fact the kid couldn't retain his crease in back-to-back AHL postseasons and erroneously requested a trade thereafter really lifted the veil for us here in Nashville. Low risk for you, more assets for us…I'll happily take it and hope he's the next Brian Finley or Chet Pickard rather than the 2nd coming of Hasek.
Bless him for answering some of the dumbest questions possible. The candor and cheek remind me a lot of young Ilya Bryzgalov. You can tell by his demeanor and answers he wants to preserve the peace and move past. He could have easily blown up the spot and talked about what went on in negotiations with NSH and what Korn's plan was for him. Instead, he stayed true and move on. He's professional and his disagreement was professional. We need some better beat reporters and interviewers. I would have loved to hear his thoughts about where the team is going and how he wants to grow and support them by being a top-tier netminder.

He's got a unique personality. Super happy to have him here
Давай, Ярик
Come on Sheng. Do better
“Do you think there’s competition here?”… How many times are you gonna ask this and what kind of answer are you expecting besides yes?
Give us Dan Rusanowski, he actually puts effort into the interview and asks good questions.
Seems like a good dude. Welcome.
Who cares about Barry Trotz! Just let Azkarov play goal for the Sharks. Nashville is yesterday's news.

Do you all have an opportunity to consider questions before hand?
unique guy
From what I've seen. I like the "fire" in jis personality..
As long as it doesn't get him in trouble off the ice, or with his teammates…. Have some personality!! The NHL needs more guys like that.
Celebration? Sure, but know when and when not to use it.
someone needs to deny these interviewers access to the building…especially Sheng. so embarassing.

3:37 I’m not sure what he says when he was asked what’s his strongest trait. I want to know what he says

The negativity gets old, I don't know how this bunch of "reporters" are employed sometimes.
