Elias Lindholm Injury | Preseason Game 2 Breakdown

It looks like Elias Lindholm is injured, and the Boston Bruins say he is day-to-day. Hopefully, Lindholm will be back on the ice soon.

Game 2 of the preseason was last night, and there are a lot of positives from Fabian Lysell, Merkulov, Brazeau, who I butcher his last name for some reason, Matthew Poitras, Tufte, and Johnson to talk about. I’m not forgetting about Joonas Korpisalo, who also made his debut.

Check out all of the Boston Bruins News at Bruins Diehards.

  1. Dipetrato is still letting up huge rebounds in bad plays.
    Bruins played better this game.
Sucks that won’t be able to see the rest of the preseason beside two games.
Wonder why they are not broadcasting the game in Quebec.

  2. Tufte reminds me of Braz. You have two big guys who can pot 20+goals at the AHL level whilst trying to make that next level work for them the same way. Braz might be a little bit ahead here because he got more NHL playing last year with the B's. Hopefully, Tufte will see how Braz made his way into the lineup and follow suit. Yeah, this implies maybe a few up/downs between Prov/Bos, but whatever gets you into thew game, yeah? Injuries happen. Trades happen. Etc, etc. It takes more than just 4 lines and 3 defense pairings with a couple of goalies to make a season. Methinks, both of these big guys will be playing regularly for the B's before the end of the season. The rest is playing hockey…get in there and do what you have to do to post the win…move beyond the overthinking rules/caveats/etc that can take a player's game away. Note: Braz had 18 goals for Prov; Tufte had 23 for the Colorado Eagles and 19 the year prior…big guys on the cusp of being steady NHLers.

  3. Per articles, Lindholm's wife is also expecting. Not going to speculate but his absence may be related. I hope everything is okay on that front.

  4. Great analysis. Totally matches up to what I heard during the game last night.

Justin got my attention last season – I was hoping they were keeping him and not pumping up his stats for trade.

Joonas didnt let in any soft goals, Bob Beers on the radio said he was tracking the puck well. His head in the game regardless of where the puck was.

In his post game locker interview, Joonas seemed to share your sentiment that ½ game didn't really mean much, he wants all 60 minutes.

Reserve judgment is excellent advice, on all accounts.

I'm not going to even comment on these new guys. Let them get their nerves out. They're trying to learn a new "system"… we're not seeing their natural instinctual play right now. That will come as they gain hockey vision and know where they and their teammates, are on the ice.

Everyone's trying to be perfect now so it's not a natural flow.

    A win feels good.
But that second goal shouldn't have gone in … we've GOT to stop that nonsense at the end of games

As Barney Fife would say "nip it in the bud!"

    But we'll take the W.

We take wins for granted, it's more like keeping up the status quo!

    Thanks!

  5. Usually the last two preseason games will be full games by the starter and backup. As it stands right now Korpi will clearly get one of those. Who will get the other one is still up for debate between Bussi who had a rough first game, and Depietro who had a good first game giving up one terrible goal and a not very good second game.

  6. between numerous injuries and long stretches of not showing up on the scoresheet, vancouver faithful glad management didn't break the bank to keep him on.
