  1. I missed any IG coverage because of the pesky thing called work. So, I was very excited for this highlights video.

I don't know, nor do I need/want to know, what Santa Cruz pays Tobin, but they need to double it. That dude is the epitome of a team player. I was hoping he was going to be able to hang on at the end, but knew it wasn't likely being the lead out. That guy has got to be one of the most selfless riders out there. Total respect for you Tobin!

  2. It was great to see the pros so close and to speak to them was priceless. Nevertheless I did great at my first ever MTB race. I may be old but I’m not dead! 💪🚴‍♂️💨

  3. A moment of silence for those who gave it their all only to crash hard. Way to go for it! I hope nobody got hurt too bad.

  4. It would be cool to see a new line up of races for next year! Keep the big ones like Leadville and unbound and implement new ones like the vapor trail 125 🙂

  5. Do you have to ride a MTB for this event? Looks like a gravel bike could handle the terrain and would be faster.

  6. This is one of the better race coverage pieces from the series so far, concise and descriptive.

I feel like there's a lot of room for improvement on the periodic "leaderboard" standings updates. What time the leader is at isn't a number that means anything to me, and we don't get any statement of gaps. The cut pacing and follow-drone filming style, although cool, doesn't really let you observe those gaps yourself.

You show Tobin alone, and a group behind, but still show top 10, even when places 2-10 are a useless metric as everyone is together in a group. The most important piece of data in that moment would be the time gap between Tobin and the chasers. I'd much rather have a standard bike race style presentation that shows the gaps between groups and shows us what groups important riders are in vs a top 10 that doesn't really help describe the racing dynamic.

Outside request would be w/kg in the power meter data vs straight watts. But, I get that that might not be doable on these tight timelines.

All that said, great work on these summaries! It's nice to be able to keep tabs on the event without having to follow on event day.

  7. Great highlights. Can you include more videos of the sprint finishes and longer interviews of the contestants?

  8. Well done Jaedon Terlouw !!! 9th place only 21 years of age and travelling from South Africa 🔥Gooi Mielies!

  9. Talking like Tobin is actually attacking for himself. Isn’t he part of a team to reduce attacks on Keegan

  10. I was going to ask why there are men on the course with chainsaws but then remembered this is the USA so why wouldn’t there be 🤣

  11. Not sure why they consider this a mountain bike race. Not a single rock or anything that resembles singletrack to really make this a mountain bike event. It appears it could have easily been raced on a gravel bike.

  12. The @coldcollaborative team and the @lifetimeGrandPrix team are just killing it with these recaps. They're just awesome for us bike nerds to watch. Thanks so much for all the hard work to get them out so fast!
