After Sidney Crosby signed a 2 year extension with the Pittsburgh Penguins worth $8.7 million a season, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin debate whether or not he has been the greatest contract bargain in NHL history.

  1. In his last deal the $8.7 million was partly coincidence. He never made $8.7 in any of those years.

    These two clearly know nothing about last season because they didn’t mention the power play being horrific and it cost them easily 5 losses and was the reason they missed the playoffs.

    Can’t wait to see this team succeed and all the analysts try and explain how they knew they would be a playoff team. Sully will again be left off the Jack Adams list for some stupid reason like “they have the core with Sid”.

    Imagine criticizing a plywood for thinking of the team and leaving money on the table, more players should take note on how you help your team stay competitive.

    Anyone that thinks the oilers are winning anything with McDavid and Leon taking home $28-$30 million are delusional. You need four lines to win and you can’t do that paying that much to a few players.
