  1. The conditions are long but all you really need to know is that The most likely outcomes are 1. Canadians use Calgary‘s 2024 first round pick if it’s in the range of 20 to 32 because they are allowed to take it if they want to. Or 2. Montreal gets the better of the Calgary or Florida pick if neither are top 10.

One thing with Monahan is that he’s been dealing with a bunch of injuries. If he can get past those injuries and be good we can sell him at the deadline or just keep him because he was a point per game three seasons ago and he is only 27

  2. its either a 24 1st or 25 1st. but IMO rather have a 2nd in 23 draft. Thats how stacked that class is tbh

  3. I was at work trying to read the details of the trade and I just said “fuck it, I’ll just wait until our boy drops a jiggie and explains it.”

  4. The scary part about this season is if Monahan hip is healed and he returns to previous form and Dach turns into the player everyone expected him to be and Caufield and Suzuki light it up and Marty with a full training camp as a head coach the habs might be a whole lot better that a lottery team

  5. Eric Engels photo is distorted so much! It makes his fat face look slim. It makes his whole head look cartoonishly thin! I miss his former profile picture…"Look at the girl I snagged". LOL

  6. now that it looks like Price will never play again we have to up our goaltender needs… we need a number 1 goalie not 2 backups. best part of Monahan trade is the 1st round pick

  7. The news about Price won't get any better….I love the guy, but he's done. The quicker the Habs realize this the sooner they'll start looking for a long-term starting goalie instead of a temporary replacement. Price should be moved out to pasture with Shea Weber…..both legends whose time has passed them by. Time to hang 'em up.

  8. Monahan is a center and if he can stay healthy he is a very good player and he can also play wing but he is a natural centermen. He has had alot of surgeries and he bad a shorten season last year so hopefully he is coming to the Habs in better health

  9. Habs are getting younger but more importantly they’re getting bigger. It’s about time ! I mean it’s like TLotR, sure the Hobbits destroyed the One Ring but it’s the big folk that got them there.

  10. He’s regressed horribly those hip surgeries are tricky sometimes it prevents a player from returning to his old form he may never be what he was or he might get injuries again as a flames fan we needed the space and mtl needed the piece and draft pick so I see both sides benefiting

  11. Sutter IS like Ed Gein!!! lolol, That's fuckin' hilarious!! lolol. Grats on 5K subs, channels growing steadily, keep it up. I feel much better about Monahan after listening to him answer a few questions from the media, he sounds like he's healthy for the first time in at least 3 or 4 years. He said he's on the ice 4 times a week, and he feels SUPER!!! Hopefully that keeps up when contact becomes part of the game!! He said he's ready to start playing some competitive hockey again!! Im excited to see that too!! I think best case scenario is he scores 30 goals and 40 or 50 assists, and he stays with the team, he's only 27. One last thing, have u read the conditions of the 1st round pick!!! lol, Ive never read something more confusing in my life, reading Chinese would make more sense to me, (I dont speak or read Chinese!!) lol, I will add it to this, it's going to be super long tho, if anyone can understand this, ur doing better then me!!! Here u go!!!

If Florida's 2025 First (1st) Round Choice Transfers to Calgary (pursuant to the conditions on an earlier trade)

    2. In the event the conditions to trigger Montreal's option as noted in #1 above does not occur, or Montreal declines to exercise this option, the following conditions shall prevail:

    A) If both Calgary's own 2025 first (1st) round choice and Florida's 2025 first (1st) round choice (previously acquired by Calgary) are not in the top-10 selections of the 2025 NHL Draft (following the determination of the 2025 NHL Draft lottery results), then Montreal shall receive the earlier of the two (2) stated choices; or,
    B) If Calgary's own 2025 first (1st) round choice is a top-10 selection and Florida's 2025 first round selection (previously acquired by Calgary) is outside of the top-10 selections (following the determination of the 2025 NHL Draft lottery results), Montreal shall receive Florida's 2025 first (1st) round choice).

If Florida's 2025 First Round Choice DOES NOT Transfer to Calgary (pursuant to the conditions on an earlier trade)

    3. In the event the conditions to trigger Montreal's option as noted in #1 above does not occur, or Montreal declines to exercise this option, the following conditions shall prevail:

    A. If Calgary's own 2025 first (1st) round choice is not in the top-10 selections of the 2025 NHL Draft (following the determination of the 2025 NHL Draft lottery results), Montreal shall receive Calgary's own 2025 first (1st) round choice, and additionally,

    1) If Florida's own 2025 first (1st) round choice is not in the top-10 selections of the 2025 NHL Draft (following the determination of the 2025 NHL Draft lottery results); and,
    2) Florida's 2025 first (1st) round choice has been transferred to another NHL Club; and,
    3) Florida's 2025 first round draft position is better than Calgary's 2025 first round draft position; then Calgary will transfer their own 2025 fourth round choice to Montreal.

    B. If Calgary's own 2025 first (1st) round choice is a top-10 selection (following the determination of the 2025 NHL Draft lottery results), Montreal shall receive Calgary's 2025 first (1st) round choice, subject to the following condition below:

    1) In the event Calgary's 2025 first (1st) round choice is the first (1st) selection overall in the 2025 NHL Draft (following the determination of the 2025 NHL Draft lottery results), Calgary will retain its own 2025 first (1st) round choice and Montreal shall instead receive Calgary's own 2025 third (3rd) round choice and a conditional 2026 first (1st) round choice. Montreal shall receive the better of Calgary's 2026 first (1st) round choice or Florida's 2026 first (1st) round choice (following the determination of the 2026 NHL Draft lottery results) (previously conditionally acquired by Calgary).

And I didnt add the conditions on the Tkachuk trade where they got the pick, which would just confuse things WAY more!!! And it would be long as a book! lol.

  12. Keep collecting those first round picks! As far as Monahan goes the guy is a walking disaster area, Double Hip Surgery, Double Herniated disc surgery plus wrist surgery, Which Monahan himself say the wrist problem is the worst, Wow! I am surprised this guy can still walk. Real shame for a really good player at his age having such serious injury trouble, I am not putting expectations on this guy just hope for the best.

  13. " Rolling the dice " to see if Monahan is healthy enough to be used as trade bait in the upcoming season's trade deadline.
