Man that locker room is going to be interesting. I know the team was furious with him having fallen off the wagon during a crunch playoff series.

  2. krazyellinas23

He has a lot to answer to his teammates, he better not let them down again. If McKinnon is willing to give him another chance, he better not f it up again.

Yes thats typically what happens when a suspension ends.

Looking forward to a healthy Val being back with the team

Was it ever confirmed if he was with a woman that was a victim of human trafficking? I remember reading articles where the woman was saying something along the lines of a bad man taking her passport/documents

Not sure how to feel about this. He betrayed us when we needed him most, he’s going to have a lot of explaining and apologizing to do, and not with just words, but actions on and off the ice.

  7. CryptoMemesLOL

Will he retain his spot on the PP1 and such or will they be hard on him?

  8. TheFrizzleFry45

He also plays a vital role on this team and we don’t have a cup without him. Not excusing his behavior but he is very valuable to this team.

What? I thought for sure his nhl career was over. Too much of locker room distraction.

  10. As an Avs fan, I’d prefer he spend the season in the AHL. Avs need to learn to play without him because he cant be trusted when things get difficult

AGAIN?? Bunged TWO playoff runs. Can we get a 3rd. Yada yada yada, seventh chances aren’t they brave.

  12. There are a few awful facts we know, and a lot we don’t. How much of this problem results from whatever painkillers were given to Nuke after he broke his foot and played in the cup winning game?

That would change my mind on how I felt about it, as opposed to it being based in hookers and blow and hotel rooms.

Nuke is worth his 6m cap hit just on his offense. He’s also a forechecking monster, and physical presence when he wants to. With the way contracts will go up, his contract will age very well…if he plays at all and doesn’t pull another vanishing act in post season

No team is giving Avs any value in a trade. I think the NHLPA can challenge a dismissal or termination. Think of the locker room if they fire him, and court puts him back.

I don’t like the thing top to bottom, but I get why management puts him back. A 4th strike is airtight for firing as far as my limited knowledge goes. You have to take that chance, bitter as the pill is

Two years in a row he hurt them at the most crucial time. I’m surprised they’re going to give him a chance to do it a third time, despite how talented he is. It would be interesting to see a poll of how the Avs fans feel about it.

It’s going to be really hard to tell if we’re yelling “CHOOOOOOO” or just “BOOOOOOOO” when he gets announced next season.

I am all for second chances, but not for fourth or however many this would be.

I can’t in right conscience root for val on the ice anymore. I’m rooting for him to straighten his life out but he’s been afforded chances 99.9% of people will never get and fucked the team over with seemingly no remorse. Has there been any kind of apology to the team or the fans from his camp? I haven’t seen anything.

lol. People acting like he’s the only guy who parties and does drugs in the NHL. Theres other guys in the avs who do coke semi regularly.

  18. Avs4life16

a lot can happen between then. plans mean nothing to Val
