Bad year for him still love him tho

Not a great year for Mika but he’ll be back
I’ll say this for him…. It was a meh regular season offensively and a bad playoff performance (for his standards). However, with this being said I will say he’s a solid defender in his own zone and I believe he will bounce back next season. It was only 3 seasons ago (2021-22) where he was behind mcdavid and Leon in scoring for the playoffs (while the Rangers were still in the playoffs). He’s capable just needs to refocus and stay motivated.
Plus he’s a got a big contract with a no move clause… we are going to have him for a while. Might as well continue to cheer him on and hope for the best.
I don’t care what anyone says, people are way out of line with how they’re talking about Mika this off-season. Keep in mind this is a guy who had an absolute revolving door as his RW for the entire season. He was still PPG in the playoffs. Florida held both Pasternak and Draisaitl to 3 points each in those series, I don’t hear those fanbases calling for them two to be traded. This team falls apart without Mika.
Show his big game goals in the playoffs it would take all of 5 seconds he avoids contact at every chance. His brilliant game # 4 pass in overtime probably cost them a trip to the finals but he made that foolish pass because he didnt want to dump the puck and chase and engage in contact. Big wussy !
Love Mika. Need 60 goals from him this year!
