Getting pro level experience is part of rebuilding.
Learning to play and win as an NHL team is part of rebuilding.
That’s why “rebuilding” is a process that always seems longer than what people expect. That’s why some teams get stuck rebuilding forever, because they skip the last steps and try to rush and blow their load before they’re actually ready.
I know the market is impatient and the team/players is doing good PR by saying all the things fans want to hear, but that’s also all it is right now: talk.
