They’re multiplying. We had 2 Petterssons now we have 2 Pattersons as well

This right here is why I’ll be taking Petey in R2 of my fantasy draft. Dudes gonna go for 120+ points this year book it

After the last several years I don’t doubt he had some expectations going into last season that it was all going to result in the same outcome. Now that there is a very real indicator that things are on the upswing it’s easy to be excited for what comes next

I’m totally fine with Petey being Petey.

    Incoming slow start for Petey

We wont know where he’s at mentally until we see his reaction to Jake Debrusk’s first goal being on our net

I am super stoked for this year. Last year was a great building year and this year will be even more interesting! With the new additions and DeBrusk being in the top 6 will be a game changer

The last time a Canadian team had a “fun guy” on their team, good things happened 🙂

He’s got 10.25 million reasons to be excited.

I feel like a petey that’s going out there and having fun every game, is a very dangerous petey for the opposing team

  11. He needs to grow his hair out again. That’s where he gets his power from

I agree with Tocchet that he has to be the driving force of our team, our version of Nathan Mackinnon, Crosby, McDavid, what have you.

Now if that means Tocchet is going to let Petey do his alien brain things instead of be hyper focused on structure and systems that is going to be big. Unleash Petey’s greatest asset, his hockey IQ, and let the rest of the team carry the load in terms of defensive structure.

I’m not saying Petey shouldn’t play sound defense, just that he should be calling the shots on when and where and how often to take risks. I wouldn’t give that responsibility to anyone else on the team because they don’t have his hockey IQ.

It’s great to listen to and be respectful to the coach but frankly as great as Tocchet was as a player he wasn’t at Pettersson’s super-elite level. Damn right he should hand over the keys to the car to Pettersson sometimes. That’s what superstars are paid for.

Guys like Gretzky, Bure, Mogilny, Forsburg, and many other super-elite players would simply ignore the coach sometimes because they had to win the game. I think Tocchet wants to see that level of “fuck you” compete from Pettersson. A superstar should just hop over the boards and play.

I think now that the team is winning, the culture has changed, and the contract talks are in the rear-view mirror, and he has a chip on his shoulder after the playoffs…

It’s a really good environment for EP40 to come in and take his game to the next level.

Let. Him. Cook. Commander Chef Petey in the house!

  15. Saaaintniiiick

Begging his gf to stay with him at least until June, we can’t have him getting dumped midway thru the season at a time like this

From a GPS fan…Johnny Johnny whoo! Him scooting fits the meme.

    Whoooo!

Tochett Translation: “He better be fucking good this year”

  18. SpiralFunZone

Signs of a maturing man. When EP40 is on point, we will always be a threat. Great to hear he’s seizing this as an opportunity not a burden

Happy, healthy Petey is beast mode Petey!
