I wanted to learn about Utah Hockey Club’s head coach Andre Tourigny’s approach to defending the rush. I learned the basics of how his man-zone system is prescribed to work and the was able to identify failures in his system by the 2023-24 Arizona Coyotes.
So, I present a breakdown of Andre Tourigny’s system and examples of mistakes.
The Utah Hockey Club acquired 3 new defensemen in Mikhail Sergachev, John Marino, and Ian Cole, resign Sean Durzi, Michael Kesselring, and Juuso Valimaki. The blue line pairings performance will be the central topic of whether or not the Utah Hockey Club can push their way into a playoff spot.
