I really like our prospect pool. But considering Cuylle has seemingly locked down that third left wing spot I have a hard time seeing where Othmann could step in this year. If they keep Vesey in the consistent lineup (which they should, his contribution is criminally underrated) I don’t see where othmann fits if the current lineup remains healthy. He’s NHL ready and looking to play now which is understandable. I have a hunch that he may be requesting a trade in the coming months. The only way I see it happening is if Vesey plays the right wing and Othmann takes left on the fourth. Which won’t give him much of an opportunity to show his strengths. He should be playing at least middle six minutes considering his offensive upside. Rempe just fits on that 4th line more that Othmann.
Othmann will request a trade this season 100% because he won’t make the team.
