Taylor Hall will be a ufa. Does Chicago not want to trade him? Hall + Mathews would be awesome. Hall missed an entire season, it's not like he has chemistry with Bedard. Robertson would fit there. Such an easy trade to make.

Capt AM needs to go to him and say hang in there, kid, you have lots of years ahead etc etc, and then give him some decent minutes to open the season. If 20 is too many, then 15 . Let him sink or swim
Who does he think he is, he’s not that good of a player where he’s going to walk in and take over top six spot, he still has to earn a spot even in a bottom six position, he needs to give his head a shake or maybe think about getting a new agent

I feel like the only team that would’ve made sense is the Coyotes, since they often just field absolute slop. Now that they’ve moved to Utah, it’s a no-go.
Robertson has shown some nice little flashes, but nothing to warrant a team acquiring him (even for a good price) and putting him into their top 6 AND PP time. At this point, the upshot on Nick Robertson is that he’s an unreliable, injury-prone player who can contribute some secondary scoring when he’s healthy.
Seems the best course for Nick would be to play up to the TDL and try to up his value. Who knows what happens this season: maybe there’s a key injury and he gets some time with Matthews, Nylander, or Marner.
..the "other teams" do not want Robertson….Leafs wasted the summer when "other teams" were signing difference makers…playoffs are not automatic…move away from this tiny bottom sixer..

If Leafs want Robertson, don't offer 800k which is an insult for top 6 player. Promise he will play in top 6.
Robertson wants top six minutes but he has'nt earned them. Best thing to do is get rid of him, Leafs do not need a malcontent on the team. Get what you can for the guy, likely a 2nd round pick, or a prospect, and just send him off.

HEY GUYS!! Honestly I think it would be great if he stayed he's young and talented and like Darius says he's got a higher ceiling then most players out there that he can be traded for. But, with that being said the Leafs are on the cusp of something great in Leaf Land. Something that hasn't been done since we all know when, 1967 and the last thing the team and organization needs is another distraction that takes away from the competitive play on the ice. So that being said, Should they bench him? No, why? Because that distraction still sits in that booth all season messing with the locker room mind set. Should they trade him and not get much back, i honestly think if they can't get him to understand it's a different culture now, he's going to get more ice time etc, then yes trade him. At the end of the day it's about winning the all mighty Stanley Cup, not about appeasing to a young player that has hurt feeling about what happened to him by a coaching staff that is gone. So if he can't put his big boy pants on and see that he has a real chance of being a part of something really special on a winning team the deuces buddy, you were never really worth it to begin with. I feel with this new report of him wanting all these demands before he agrees to play is crazy. I know this is a case of either his agent or team or himself thinking he's a lot much better than he thinks he is. Anyways would love to get your thoughts on all of this Nick and Darius!! Pretty simple, no team has offered any thing of significance for Robertson. Would have made most sense for him to play and increase his value.

NR would not even be on my radar, he is a fill in player at best. He thinks he's as good as his brother and he simply is not. If i was Brad i would let this asset rot unless a team came with a great offer. This younger entitled attitude needs to be flushed out.
