Amazon close to stream Bally

May have a viable and legal Canes streaming option soon….

“The online retail and streaming giant is closing in on an agreement with bankrupt Diamond Sports Group to stream most of the Bally Sports parent company’s content, according to a report in the New York Post. Fans could pay approximately $20 per month to Amazon to gain access to regional teams.”

For the teams in which it holds digital rights, DSG already offers its local content through the Bally Sports+ streaming app, costing $19.99 per month in most cases. But that product has had some[ notable technical issues](https://frontofficesports.com/bally-sports-experiences-mass-outages-as-dsg-drama-continues/). Amazon Prime Video, while having a much stronger reputation for reliability, would also offer a major boost in scale to reach consumers.

So basically instead of paying Bally Sports+ for their garbage app we can add it on to Amazon (for $20/mo) which should be more reliable.

Is it $20 a month plus the price of Prime? Really the games should be shown on local channels anyways.

This won’t change anything other than hopefully the app being more reliable. You’re till going to either pay $20 for the app or get it through one of the few “cable” streaming services it’s already on.
