Oilers cap is f'd
Moves like this from other GM’s just deepens my confidence in Yzerman (assuming the oilers does this)
Red Wings currently have cap space for McDavid
14.5 to 15 mil max and yes he wants to stay in Edmonton, he has already said it and will take the discount. Him and drai plus their wives are all best friends. This is a non story.
16max. Anything else is jist screwing the team over
TML 2.0
Matheson is out to lunch as usually. McDavid would be @ 16M . Leafs have no cup because of the huge contracts and if the core want to follow what the leafs have done, then McDavid and Drai will never win a cup. Not sure how Draisatl took a discount, I would say that’s what he’s worth
Should be about 16M with discount.
No chance he gets 20 million. Teams would probably pay it, but his contract in edmonton won't be anywhere near 20 million… 16-17 million
Can’t give Connor 20M the cap is 17M he can only get as much as 17M
1 say around 15-16.0 million per
Draisaitl contract is not overpriced, not compared to Natthews, I would rather pay Draisaitl 14 million than dishing out Petterson 11.6million per season
Nurse needs to be moved and I don’t see him staying on the team after this season
How can Edmonton afford to keep a competitive team together? I don’t get it when the salary cap is 88 million dollars they are at 87 million right now. They’re going to have to rework some contracts. Edmonton would have to cut some contributors to stay under the cap if they pay McDavid 20 million dollars a year.
isnt maxium at 15 mil no?
He'll come in @16 per, another Oiler for life.
Lots of salty Canuck fans.
I get the salary cap is crazy now but yeah we couldn’t have let Leon go and Leon was already on a big discount not mad at him for getting his bag
remember when they were all going to take a discount to win a few weeks ago ? 😂😂😂
Your opinion dude not what the market would dictate. Not reality.
The guys will all do what is best for them. Nobody is giving any one a discount
Oilers gonna have no cap space 🤣
lol 34m for 2 players. + bouchard at 10, = 44m. lol.
Mcdavid wont sign 20 mil guys, he's gonna sign 16m and with the salary increase it wont be that much
