If EP40 and Miller get at least 77 points this season, they will be 7th and 8th all time in Canucks points leaderboard. Squarely in between and surrounded by Players who are in the Ring of Honour or had their Jerseys retired. Will both Petey and Miller be at least ROH worthy to you by end of season?

The fact that Miller might pass Bure, and potentially do it in fewer games played too, is incredibly impressive and shows how understated he is for this team.

It’s probably cup run dependent for them.

Using points is tough because different eras had different scoring levels and different team makeups and strengths. You have to score pretty well to get honoured in arena, but you also need an emotional story and connection with the fans. Usually that comes from the playoffs, or at least being a long time captain.

There’s a decent chance Miller ends up 3rd in all-time points for us when his contract comes to an end. I don’t see how you don’t retire his number if that happens.

Pettersson could hit the top spot in his sleep if he wanted to, he’s on a trajectory to be the greatest forward we’ve ever had

  4. nuckh3ad

Both getting their numbers retired with the team 🫡

  5. mediumyeet

No they need to spend more time with us and have some more playoff success but they are both on track along with Quinn of course.

I never realized how far ahead the Sedins are in points.

  7. opinemine

Ep40 is already in the roh.

We drafted him. Calder winner. Brought back fans after the disastrous post sedin years.

I’ve seen enough put 9 in the rafters and deduct 10 points from everton

  9. Responsible_Sea_2726

Pavel is the only point to game player on that list. Excluding EP 40 and Miller. Now obviously they will slow down over time but based upon current numbers they look like they will belong

Pettersson has a legitimate chance of overtaking 4 Canucks by the end of the year with just a PPG pace. He could be 7th all-time at the beginning of his new contract.

That is just mind boggling how good he is even during a “down year”. I hope fans aren’t too hard on him. This guy is has so much potential.

77 points and Hughes passes Edler.

  12. opinemine

Spectrefire doesn’t understand what precedent means. Literally every winner of a league player award has gotten into the roh or better.

Exceptions are joint winners (Schneider) and feud (kesler).

So petey is in, Miller just depends how his contracts plays out

If Petey continues his career trajectory he’ll be a borderline Hall of Famer (depends on longevity/awards/results).

So yea, he’ll get his jersey retired.

If Miller helps us win a Cup he’ll also get his jersey retired.
    – A few more good seasons and some decent playoff runs and he’ll get RoH.

If this group never makes a cup run (let’s say farthest they go is west final), the only one locked for jersey retirement is Hughes. He is already the best defenceman the Canucks have ever had and its not close Every single defensive record will be his in a couple years.

Petey and Miller are most dependent on a cup run. Without it, probably only ring of honour. Unless either of them sets a huge single season record.

Why did you mods take away my JT Miller flair?

    Backwards logic

It’s not a sign they’re ROH worthy, it’s a sign we honour too many mediocre players

  17. whalespray

Of course! Win lose they are this Generation. ROH

  18. MikaelDerp

Right now, no. If we get multiple consecutive playoff entries and 1 deep WCF/SCF run, yes. Most of the ROH have the prestige of playing in a cup final, that’s the biggest thing for me.

  19. MommyMilkersPIs

Miller’s story is awesome. Crazy random trade by the goat jimbo, has a great year and is a beast in the playoffs, team continues its infuriating mediocrity but jt performs well, team has historically bad year and miller is having a rough year himself, hasn’t shown much effort and fans want him traded and turn on him (not all), media accuses him of lover room cancer, team decides to move on from bo and keeps miller, miller has an insane year and is a beast in the playoffs once more being a great team leader, is now a fan favourite and a legit top 10 player in the league

They should both hit 500 points this season.
