Ngl, last season was quite the roller coaster. We had opening night Matthew’s hat trick and subsequent goal record, the fall of John Klingberg, the fall and rise and fall of Sammy, the rise of Simon Benoit, the fall of TJ Brodie, Bertuzzi birthday hat trick, Giordano goal right after his fathers funeral, the many fights of Reaves, the last minute switch up in playoffs to Boston, the soul crushing ending to the season.

    Yeah some good times

my favourite part was the Rielly suspension run. The group proved how good they can be. Saved the season. Then…

As someone born well after 1967, but old enough to remember the 1990s, it has to be the 1992-93 season. Pat Burns, Gilmour, Borchevsky, Potvin, the trade for Andreychuck, every playoff series going 7 games but losing the semi after a terrible non-call on Gretzky in game 6 high sticking Gilmour and then scoring the winning goal when Gilmour was off getting stitches. And Montreal was already in the final, so the conspiracy theories were flying. Those playoffs also featured several very long overtimes. And the Jays having won the World Series a few months earlier had us all believing it was possible. A close second works be 93-94, with largely the same cast of characters, more overtimes and 3 more game 7s before losing to the Canucks. They have certainly been no seasons more memorable since for me. The current team is great, but it will take a run to at least the conference finals for me to believe again.
