Official Day 8 – Rangers Fan Grid: Most Underrated

Hey guys. Been helping the in laws move but I'm here now. This is still the official post. The actual day 7 winner is the Kreider natural hat trick. Let's move to Day 8! Who is our most underrated player since 2000?

Going for a dark horse here, Jed Ortmeyer. Only a short stint, but was awesome defensively and iirc had great underlying numbers early in his career.

Still think it’s Jesper Fast! Quickie was the Player’s Player five years in a row, so he certainly wasn’t underrated by the team. By fans, though? I really think so. No flash, not too many points, but man did he bust his butt every shift.

  3. I know we’re onto voting for the next square but I still can’t believe the Kreider hat trick. Easily one of the top playoff moments in franchise history, put the entire team on his back, he’ll be the last 20 the rangers ever gave

I don’t think Jagr has the MVP caliber season he had without Nylander so I’m saying Nylander.

Young Alexei Kovalev, or shorthanded monster Grabner

Can’t bekieve this was ten years ago, but I still remember when Lundqvist was out (took a puck to the throat) and Cam Talbot showed up and absolutely shut the competition down for a couple of clutch months.

Jagr. That one season gets plenty of love, but the man single-handedly pulled us out of the dark ages.

Jan Erixon has a permanent spot on my checking line.
