With the news that the 4 million retained from Johansens contract could be off the books soon should the Preds go after him?
His contract last season was a 1 year 4 million dollar contract. They could offer him something like a 1 or 2 year contract at 4ish million a year.
He was also on the Golden Knights from 2019 to 2022 and played with Jonathan Marchessault.

No. Next question.
Way too injury prone and not worth the 4mil. I’d rather keep the cap space to play with in the future. Just because we have 4 available (pending) doesn’t mean we HAVE to spend it.
I prefer starting the season pretending like we don’t have that $4mil in cap space (which we probably will since it’s going to arbitration) and then if we get a pleasant surprise in let’s say October then great. We can use it at the trade deadline assuming we are going to be buyers.
Absolutely not
Absolutely not.
Many better available at the deadline for that 4 million. Max can’t stay healthy.
Absolutely not. Not a space for him and not worth the chance he doesn’t even play.
Nah, will be nice for a trade deadline pick up, imo
No
Uh no. Save the cap space to make a move at the deadline if we are in a good spot.
a team with potentially three first round picks to use as bait will find that $4M far more useful in February than it will in August.
No
No. But I will give Max this, he did get PK to the Preds since he couldn’t stand a teammate having a personality so Montreal traded him to try and keep their captain happy.
No, but it would reunite my nhl 23 fantasy draft linemates of patches and stamkos
No. I would rather spend that space on young guys.
We good, pass
Please no
That 4 million will come in handy in February when the leafs are shitting the bed and trade us Marner for some picks.
Fuck no. Why would we want to get OLDER?!? I swear people seem to ask the dumbest questions sometimes, injury prone and hasn’t been good in years, no thanks
