Jason, luv your show.. I'm in Aus.. been following you for 18 months. Still learning.. Flyers are my team.. but you have to keep teaching me or others out there.. thanks
My three favorite goalie sticks in the collection:
Mid 80s Black and white CCM
Early 90s all natural Louisville
Late 80s Silver Vic Curtis curve
Hayes had a good year that last year ONLY because he was played more than he should have in situations he normally isn't good enough to play because we had a bunch of young guys that Torts was learning about… he was never going to have another season like that with the Flyers. Chuck Fletcher ENORMOUSLY overpaid him, and he was never worth the 7M a year he was getting. Not really a terrible player, but a 3-4M a year guy, AT BEST. Fletcher made so many terrible deals, and that was, IMO, the worst.
The crackles, Martinez. They irk me. Love ya brother
Love Torts. But get that pp goin…
"Sorry, Kolosov can't make training camp because he's still sleeping."
"Sorry, Johanssen can't make training camp because… uh….. he needs 3 new hips. You know, normal stuff."
Askarov would be interesting, given he has demanded a trade that hurts NSH leverage a bit too. Laine? Nah, he'll play <40 games this season when a gust of wind puts him out for 3 months.
Jason, have you heard anything about Ryan Ellis?
I agree with you Patrick Lane would not be a good fit here.
I agree with you Patrick Lane would not be a good fit here.
Torts is a good coach for this team
Thank you! Patrick Laine would not be a good fit here at all. I give him another year before he's playing in the KHL or for Jokerit! The guy has the worst work ethics in the NHL. It's truly sad to see all that pure talent go to waste!
