I'm personally a huge fan of what Brière is doing. He was given a team in rough shape, but look to the future. We have the best draft capital in the league, and we have a LOT of money coming off of the books in the coming years. Petersen, Hayes, Atkinson, DeAngelo, if you stretch it a bit, Risto. There's a lot to look forward to.
Let me get this straight. Bill, who was the head of the “Cutter Gauthier is an entitled POS “for wanting to go straight to the NHL, is now upset the Flyers didn’t trade for a guy who wants to leave his club specifically because they wouldn’t let him go right to the NHL. Do I have that correct?
We all need to exercise a bit of patience. I think Briere & Jones are smart & will make wise decisions when the time is right. However, I'd love to pursue Askarov.
I think briere and jones are shoe shine boys.
Hilferty makes all the decisions and tells Tortorella what to do and then he tells briere and jones.
Pronger was the best Defenseman to put on a Flyers jersey. His loss affected the team for years. As we are still searching for a number 1 Defenseman. That player may be here now, but has not fully developed yet, or we are still searching for him. Pronger from what i seen in the finals against Chicago was able to manipulate the games. Like you said, high hockey IQ, savvy, big, mean and highly skilled.
