We pulled a fast one? Philly has our first round pick *and* they’re getting out of that contract. We only got a few games out of Sean Walker in return. Our upside is that RyJo is out the door and off the books but I’d say it was at a pretty steep cost. Not sure you can pick a winner of this trade but Philly is getting off real easy for their troubles imo.

I don’t think we pulled anything lmao

Maybe I’m in the minority but I still don’t mind that we tried it with RyJo.

It literally cost us *nothing* to swing on a medium risk high reward 2C. It didn’t happen to work. Look at the cost it took to get our other recent 2Cs.

The reports were PHI wanted a 1st for Walker regardless, and Avs said we’ll give it to you in 2025 if you take RyJo, and they agreed.

Sometimes shit works, sometimes it doesn’t. And a *lot* has worked for the Avs front office recently, especially when it’s come to turning dying players into studs. Fortunately they were able to move on from this botched one

If there were the case the Avs would be in trouble, not Johansen. Nobody’s accused the Avs of withholding injury info.

I don’t even mind the first we gave up, we haven’t drafted anyone outside of the top 10, that we couldn’t replace with a trade or a free agent signing.

We didn’t pull a fast one. He played the night before the trade, then when Philly tried to put him on waivers he faked an injury. Johansson pretty much killed his career with this one.
