Connor McDavid is the best player in the NHL and one of the very best players ever. Hed much rather win the Stanley Cup and even tho they lost, he deserved the Conn Smythe as Playoff MVP. I wanted the Edmonton Oilers to win the Cup so badly but im sure they will win it one year in the future.

Anyone complaining that he didn't accept the trophy has never played sports. These guys are hyper competitive. The Cup is everything. Winning the MVP means nothing without the Cup. Connor will get his.

This system that Gary Bettman has in place will destroy hockey. Paying off refs to deter a game and allowing a team to double stack players well over cap just for the playoffs is a cheat. That the Oilers came to game 7 against all that is amazing.
The no calls against Florida were so blatent that the players were laughing at it all. Grabbing McDavid's leg and holding it above his knee while on a break away without a call. Not even interference. Laying on a puck for a full minute plus without game misconduct for delay of game. And that was what we all could see without the cameras running away from all the other dirty stuff the players did. The team should be embarrassed that they GOT a cup from cheating with all of this. Just bad day for hockey. Bettman has to go, he has corrupted this almost as much as FIFA.
