Broberg is not a 4mill defenseman. As much as it would be nice to keep him for less than 2mill we might just need go let him walk. We already overpaid for one defenseman…cough cough nurse.

Ill say this again…stan bowman. No one is helping him in any way. Better hope he gets fired before oilers are laughing stock of the league.
I think you made the case why Ceci has not been traded. He is a serviceable defenceman who is paid too much. To get rid of him would probably cost the Oilers too much, either in retained salary or draft picks. Why would other teams take him off the Oilers hands for free?
I mentioned in another video, teams know Oilers are trying to trade Ceci, most teams don’t like Bowman, therefore equals no trade or very poor offering in return, the oilers and media have advertised Ceci is available a bit too much, if I’m Ceci , I’m thinking 🤔 “get me out of here please, obviously I’m not wanted by fans and management” , I think he’s a decent defence a 5-6 maybe a 3-4 sometimes, he should be tradable, but teams know oilers are a bit desperate and probably aren’t offering much, clock ⏰ ticking Tuesday morning
It's obvious isn't it? The Oilers are in a bad situation here, they need to include a no.1 or 2nd round draft pick and Ceci for a team to bail them out.

Showing that Ceci is the weakest defender on the team doesn’t give the complete picture.
How does he compare to the players you’d look to replace him with? Taking into account both his analytics and his salary. I don’t know, but cost of replacement/improvement is at least as important as his relative position on the roster.
That said, if Broberg stays, he or Kulak or both are probably gone. For better or worse.
Did people not see how well Broberg skates with the puck during the playoffs?
Nobody has answered this question, who's playing defense? They've already let Vinny go, Broberg will probably go cuz he isn't worth $4.5+MM, now you're going to trade Ceci and in some instances I've seen trading Kulak? Who's playing defence now? No one! And, you're trading a d-man to keep a forward. And, remember no one is going to help out the Oilers because of Bowman. Bat shit crazy to me. Ask Coffey. His is the only opinion that should matter.
I cant believe Ceci is untradeable. He only makes $3,25 million for one more year . The team felt he was their third best defenseman in the playoffs while they were making it to the final. Got to be some sort of bounce for that. They play him because they don't have anyone better.

The thirty year old has never really had an offensive component to his game, so you can't expect it now. If you can't trade him now he is untradeable. It feels like if you move him you have to be able to replace him.
Why have they kept him?
He’s the best or 2nd best right shot defenceman on the oilers 3 years running.

Because every GM in the league will want a first round pick to take that contract. Nobody is going to do Bowman any favors.
