We discuss the contract values of NHL players Igor Shesterkin and Leon Draisaitl. We argue that Draisaitl’s $14 million contract is more realistic and justified given his elite scoring ability and durability, while a $12 million contract for a goalie is not seen as practical in the current NHL landscape of goaltending tandems.

The never pay a goalie that much is a terrible take. Igor is a work horse and if you pay him 12 mil he will do everything in his power to play at top level like he always does.
