It’s very easy as the ref to look where you expect the puck to be (under the glove) and not notice through legs and feet that it’s next to him. It sucks but the ref couldn’t see it. Guarantee the ref feels bad about it.
Upon video review, with clear evidence the ref should be called wrong and goals like that should be allowed like cmon man. They have to be held accountable somehow

Granted, things are going to be missed or overlooked during a game, but it's happening multiple times, seemingly during every game. Horrible mistakes like these are enough to leave a bad mark on the NHL's refereeing reputation. Unless it's been one of the senior officials like McCauley, the reffing has been very meh this year

I love watching a fair called game. Where a trip gets called if someone got tripped or hooked. These refs are getting paid to just watch and get in the way. Just my opinion.

I think they should remove the refs. Have the game played without them. Players call their own goals and penalties. If any rules are broken or players claim they scored when they didn't then suspend and fine them.
These refs are absolute shit. There are times like the Bolts v Oilers were they fucked us over with so many bs penalties and times like this where they just hand us the game. Can we just get a happy medium where they just do their job properly and unbiased?
