I'm glad Michael addressed the Draisaityl & McDavid contract situation. Some fans are accusing Broberg & Holloway of being selfish , greedy & not team players well we only have to look at Oscar Klefbom & see that there are no guarantees in hockey as in life. I don't blame these young players one bit. The proof of Draisaityl & McDavid's and to a lesser extent Bouchard leadership & commitment to winning the cup is their willingness to sign for about 8.5 million per season for Bouchard, 12 million per season for Draisaityl and 14 million per season for McDavid. People forget how Chicago let Gustav Forsling go & how that turned out. So don't be to quick to dismiss either Broberg or Holloway imo. This is ALL on the MisManagement of the Oilers brass imo.😢
It's not that Broberg did not earn his spot on the Oilers. The Oilers suppress his playing time to keep his salary down dummies!
Holloway is easiest to replace, keep the young defenseman,
It’s not rocket science , Broberg was set to replace Desharnais this coming season so they were relying on him to play his first full NHL season .
