NHL Network recently revealed their top-20 wingers in the league. Unfortunately, Jesper Bratt didn’t make the cut despite his all-star caliber 2023-24 season. Bratt led the New Jersey Devils in a lot of categories and was argubly their best player. Nolan Foote signed a new deal with the Devils organization a few days ago.

I would say Bratt should be in over Ovechkin and maybe Konecny but that’s about it in terms of who I think an argument can be made for. I don’t think Ovechkin will get taken off a top 20 list until he retired though because of what he’s accomplished through his career even though he was definitely exposed a bit this past year. If there was a top 30 I would think Bratt would come in at 21 or 22nd Timo closer to 28-30
I remember watching Nolan Foote play for the Canadian team during the World Junior Championship. I remember thinking I would love for the Devils to get him. He was a dynamic player who made a true impact. His health has totally derailed his career but I believe that if he can stay healthy and get some playing time he can be a valuable asset on this team. Even if he slots in as a bottom six he can be a contributor.
