I think the writing is on the wall that the Avs do not trust Georgie long term. They put a lot of draft capital into the position, so I take it as they did not think they had the answer within the organization before the draft and they need to throw a lot of darts. Now hoping a guy or two pans out.

Our future is Nabokov imo. Justus has been great and has upside to be a starter but I don’t view him as the long term answer anymore and clearly the organization doesn’t either completely given how much of our limited capital we invested in the position

Absolutely. I’ve seen what he was able to do as a teenager against adults in Finland, the guy is an absolute stud. Cool under pressure, big, can really settle into the net and become a nuisance for the opposing team. Taking the last few years as a pure training/development portion of his career he’s ready to break out imo.

I love playing Cmac and guessing. I suck at normal level, predicting goalies is hard mode.
I like what I saw, I hope he’s part of our future and solves short term cap issues. I have no idea, my guess is as good as a coin flip
