Oh man, is this one of the more fun What’s Next videos to do. Normally in these videos, we take a look at what’s in store for 2020-2021 for the player we’re discussing. But for Olli Juolevi of the Vancouver Canucks / Utica Comets, we’re taking a look at what could be in store in the very immediate future for the 22-year-old Finnish d-man.

Juolevi was recently named to the Vancouver Canucks “Black Aces” list for the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs / 2020 NHL Play-In Series. This means that, should the situation call for a replacement, Olli Juolevi does have the ability to suit up and play this post-season.

If that happens, this could be huge. Not saying it will, but only if.

  1. The only reason I'm okay with the Canucks picking Juolevi is that if were to pick Tkachuk or Sergachev for example, we would not likely have Pettersson or Hughes on the team, and I cannot imagine the Canucks without those two players.

  2. Idk bout you LEGO but I have mixed emotions on juolevi I just see something in him like there’s something special about this guy and he’s a seed waiting to grow into a large plant of you understand what I’m saying

  3. Hope Juolevi breaks out in this playoff, or as late as next season. Otherwise, his misfortunes could turn himself into a mental case the rest of his life.

  4. We passed on tkachuk that’s bad enough but now that we have hughes it makes it worse that would have been a really good friendship and also we got a d man in hughes and we don’t need another first round d man.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😤

  5. People saying a D man who's 22 is a bust. Just cause he hasn't played in NHL yet which is just comical. Imagine people saying Mattias Öhlund was a bust for the same reason

  6. Anyone that says Juloevi is not a bust is dreaming. He will go back to Europe in a couple of years.

  7. If he makes it in i can see him playing a role similar to tanev in 2011. (Raw rookie; making minimal mistakes) what would set him apart would be his offense compared to tanev. Thats what I'm excited to see!

  8. i don't think forsberg came over until 22. edler about the same. Sedins didnt develop for 3 or 4 years.

    Ollie needs to play.

  9. After watching his NHL debut last night, and all the garbage the sports media has said, I'm really happy for him. I also have hopes for Brisbois and Sautner.

  10. He's a bust. He should've barley been a 1st rd pick. He had a great world juniors and some scouts had him completely overrated and that shot him up draft boards. Now there's talk that he lost speed and mobility due to him knee injury.
