That will be solved when the lottery is fixed next May.

It’s hard enough to find a single truly elite prospect, much less a second.
Beyond that, it’s not worth potentially stunting Bedard’s growth to try and gamble at the lottery again.

Why do people realize we still have Hall. The guy can put up an easy 20-30 a year when hevplays a full season. Just bad luck last year.

Although our roster is improved from last year (partly because of FA & partly because of health) we are still going to be a bottom of the league team. We will still have a top 10 pick (at the very least).
Surrounding Bedard and Nazar with some talent to help them progress individually won’t stunt our growth.
I understand the sentiment behind the worrying, but I really don’t think that we are “out of the tanking stage” or progressing too quickly.

I’m not expecting us to be contenders this year but is it really that controversial to not want to tank 3 years in a row

Why does anyone think it’s unquestionable to think they draft top again?
Basically, I agree with the need for another elite forward but I also think another season of being at the bottom would be bad for morale and development. I also think we will still be a lottery team, just not the greatest odds.

Moore? Nazar?
Correct.

To be honest, even with all of our improvements, I still think we are bottom-10 this season. I haven’t read much on next year’s draft, so I don’t know how deep it is or isn’t. Other bottom teams around us like Anaheim, MontrĂ©al, and Utah should in theory improve too. If we were to improve by 25 points this season, we would still be near the bottom going by last season’s standings.
