Which Wild Prospects will Have the Most Eyes On them this Season? #minnesotawild #mnwild

On today’s episode of Locked on Wild, Alex Micheletti joins the show as we start Prospect Week looking at a few Wild prospects that will have the most attention on them this season. We start with Charlie Stramel, and we lay out the path to what is essentially a full reset at Michigan State. We discuss his rough go in Wisconsin, some of the things he dealt with behind the scenes, and why Stramel panning out would be a big boost to the Wild prospect system. We discuss Samuel Hlavaj, and why he should be in line to take the Iowa job once Jesper Wallstedt moves to the NHL full time, and why if he continues to impress he could hit the NHL at some point too. We finish by discussing the National Title defense for Zeev Buium and Rieger Lorenz, and Jack Peart’s continued rapid rise through the Wild defenseman ranks!

  1. Gotta keep tabs on H Haight, Heidt and Liam should be in the top 9, so we’ll see boys….

  2. we either sign Stramel after this season, or we lose out on a 1st round pick as he'll just play out his Senior season and go the College UFA route…its all or nothing (maybe we get a pick back like we did with McBain)

  3. Rieger Lorenz is another sign after this year or likely lose him as a College UFA next year prospect…

  4. A few others, Kumpulainen, who if Stramel or the Finnish center make it, the Wild would be happy. My other prospect is another Finn, Kiviharju who told Guerin he’s the steal of the draft. Projected 1st rounder a year ago, drops and the Wild take a flyer. Peart, Lambos and the goalie you nailed, Hlavaj are my others.
#1, the D from Finland who could be another Spurgeon type…

  5. I'm a badger fan, but I will definitely be following Stramel at Michigan State. He just never got the opportunity under Hastings to be more than a bottom 6 (mostly 4th line) guy.

  6. What about Kalem Parker? I never hear much about him? He had 42 points in 65 games last year…..?

  7. I said it last nite if Eizerman has the Eizerzerplan, Well looking At Billy G, his has to be the GEEZER PLAN!!!

  8. I’m going to be tracking defense prospects that have a chance to pop this year, which include Ryan Healey from the 2022 draft, Kalem Parker from the 2023 draft, and Sebastian Soini/Aron Kiviharju from the 2024 draft. With how many defensemen are currently in the prospect pool, some of the depth picks are going to end up in the NHL and would love to see each of these guys take a step this season.
