He scored 61 even-strength points a season ago, and 52 the year before that (34 this past season, which was a down year overall for him). He's a guy who typically gets a lot of his points that way, which is good because he may not get a ton of PP time.
2 huge additions for sure. This looks like it will FINALLY be the year the Oilers go wire to wire without big hiccups and win the division and are right at the top of the league in points. Home ice advantage only for the first round just isn't acceptable anymore.
The big question now is Kane. With Skinner and Arvidsson in there won't be any top 6 space for him, and he earns too much to be a bottom 6 guy. But will he agree to a trade? We'll see, I guess. Top 6 looks set (if Draisaitl can be resigned), GK looks to be Skinner and Pickard again, which is not perfect but ok. D looks set, assuming Ceci is moving out. Bottom 6 is still in question but there are pieces in place.
If Hyman can score 50+ goals playing with McD & Leon… someone as gifted as J Skinner can score 70. Oilers may obliterate all scoring records next year.
Also… Nuge has to move off the top power play line for Skinner. Jeff Skinner has the most accurate shot in the NHL. Go watch his highlights & he routinely scores goals from impossible angles & shots that get thru holes you can’t even see. He’s a smaller version on Connor McDavid. He’s also a guaranteed goal in any overtime shootouts. For a shootout I would go McD-Skinner-Connor Brown. Yes I said Connor Brown. He’s proved he can freeze good goalies on breakaways.

Curious as to why the kings thought foegele is worth more then arvidsson for half a million bucks.
