  1. Honestly, they could give away 2 D, a couple of picks, nothing in the first round, and a prospect. They could do a Barron and Harris/Struble, Farrell, Heineman, attractive pieces. They have multiple picks in the first, second and 3rd round, I would do players, and a pick in the second and third to get him. That would be worth it. Maybe they need a Gallagher, who knows, this is going to be interesting if they’re in on Laine

  2. The Habs have nothing to loose with LaIne. We give him the second line with Dach and Newhook or Roy and he will produce. After improving for 2 years with at least 30+ goals every years and at the end of his contract, we can trade him and receive a good pick for him or resign him.
It will make the Canadiens better already this year plus with Demidov next year he is exactly what we need, a pure goal scorer with 2 play makers in Dach and Demidov.

  3. Slow down. No laine. Whats he gonna be like in three years which is our timeline😢to seriously compete for the cup. Patience boys. Stick with the plan!!

  4. 100% add laine his term is perfect for montreal ,either in 2 years he's back to being the goal scorer he's shown he can be before and we extend him , or if he's not back we move on and his spot is taken by a prospect , demidov .

  5. Pinard got most of his goals playing with Suzuki, he needs to play with talented players to at least have a chance to succeed.

  6. Laine is a go for me, the culture with the habs could restore his confidence. It's a decent risk to make given the term and possible retention.

  7. Patrick L was a 2nd overall pick and has proved he's a goal scorer. I say, why not? It's only 2 years. If it works, we could be in the playoffs this year. Everyone likes a good comeback story, but no one wants to give guys a chance. What kind of pedigree do you need to be given a chance?

  8. I'm not a Laine fan. That being said, For the right price for someone who truly is recovered I am not opposed.
