With all the new D-men, move Reilly up forward, where he seems to.like to roam. He is left handed, so on left wing, solving one problem. He probably would have mote defense mindfulness than career forwards, but he is too wandering to stay on defense, especially at his pay!
Matthews left money on the table for the Leafs to sign Marner. They have spent wisely so far Edmondson and Lyubushkin got somewhere around $4 million each. OEL is going to be great with Liligren.
5:45. Just watching your podcast and the first point is that recognizing anything written by James Tanner should automatically be considered anti leafs pro Dubas bc this guy is overboard in his unadulterated support for Dubas despite his many bad decisions which are the reason the leafs live in cap hell.

While Tre hasnāt rebuilt the leafs itās it in his power to do so with all the no movement clauses. So essentially giving tanner credibility is an error and youād be better off ignoring his comments.

As for current state, the leafs are better defensively, slightly tougher, and may have some added forward depth should any one or more of Minten, Cowan, steaves, or grebyonkin steal a slot or two.
Robertson should be retained BUT if heās going to be stubborn then get a fair return and move on. That return has to be a second and a project player at least or a depth player with upside. Nothing less
Nylander should get a pto and then you can figure out what heās capable of.
That said wm has to be aware that thereās no guarantees and if he is cut or sent down -no whining
Tavares is going to have real good year and when it comes to Marner itās take the Nylander contract and stay or goodbye whether by trade or playing out the year.
Itās going to be a tough year as a few clubs are better and itās already a tough division. Goaltending is going to be key and I think itās going to be real good! Woll should stand out and Stolarz will be solid as well. More Importantly Murray will be very good if needed and healthy. Key word for all is health ! Looking forward to the new look leafs under a real coach and not a cheerleader.
