The Portland Winterhawks defeated the T-Birds 3-2 in overtime Saturday night in Portland. Simon Kubicek and Matthew Wedman each scored in the last 20 seconds to force overtime. Jarret Tyszka had two assists. Cole Schwebius made 38 saves. Lane Gilliss and Robbie Fromm-Delorme scored in regulation for Portland. Seth Jarvis scored on a penalty shot in overtime to win the game. Jarvis was tripped cutting to the net and the T-Birds coaching staff disagreed with the call. Cole Hofer had 21 saves for the Winterhawks.
