Great breakdown. Tocchet’s gonna rip Sprong a new Kuzmenko but we could use him on the PP and shelter him but at least he only costs less than 20% of Kuzmenko.
Get ready to learn bench, buddy.

This was a very informative video, thanks for posting it!
This dude has a shot and a half, if tocchet can get him to even average defensive work ethic then it’s gonna be great. And if he can’t, PDG or Pod will be there instead

He was -5 last year and -2 in his career I’m sure he’s not good defensively but at -2 in his career doesn’t seem too bad for league minimum

A timely goal here and there might make up for zero defence

I made this video! And I’m a Canucks fan too so I’m so excited that we got him for such a reasonable deal. No risk high reward!

It’s a breakdown video, not a hype video. Not really hyping that defensive effort. It explains why he’s been used the way he has and why he’s being paid the amount he is.

Get this guy on the PP!! Dutch ovechkin, baby!!!

When Detroit was battling for their playoff spot the last 6+ weeks of the season, Sprong was watching from upstairs. Coaching staff didn’t trust him enough to dress him. So, I’ll be curious if he dresses when Canucks presumably are in the playoffs 🤔

Low risk contract. I like it
Inspect1234
Hopefully the coaches can squeeze the effort he needs out of him. But ya know what they say, wooden shoes, wooden head, wooden listen.

Just a random thought, is he the Phil Kessel the Canucks wanted last year?
Adventurous_Ad_9557
thanks good explanation why Sprong has not sprung higher😏
GoldenChest2000
The best part about the AAV is we can bury him for more space if all else fails, unlike Kuzmenko who was 5.5M against the cap
Not saying it’ll happen but it’s good that there’s a failsafe

I can see him working well with Suter
