  1. Either Zadorov or Soucy were getting a game, nucks would probably take what's developed. Hyman has to be looked at though, surely there's more intent to the head area there.

  2. How do you feel about Soucy being suspended while Hyman's cross check to Zadorov's head which resulted in stitches 1 second after and Hyman doesn't even get a fine?

  3. All id like to know is

    Do you have super powers?

I mean LA is out, vancouver steals games

Do you do the reverse jinx against teams?

  4. Would be great if Skinner could stop a beachball or two on clear, unobstructed shots. His D is giving him a chance and he’s letting his team down. He’s the difference in the series so far. Enough with the “Oilers are losing to a third stringer” b.s. narrative. Silovs is easily better than most team’s starters. Canucks are DEEP in goaltending. Nobody, and I mean nobody, would trade Silovs for Skinner.

  5. I have no problem with 1 game for Soucy, he was careless with his stick around the one guy you really can't take liberties on. Glass half full the team might have wanted to rest him anyway considering he missed some time in the game after blocking a shot.

  6. McDavid going unpunished for his second slash in two games… shocker. If they dont punish him when he draws blood, then dont expect it any other time… its really disgraceful how little he has done to earn the amount of coddling he has clearly gotten

  7. Shannon, are you not forgetting the scrum before the hideous transactions?
I'm talking about the two hand slash by McDavid and then the X-Check by Hyman on Zadorov's face.

  8. I was primarily an NBA fan and it was the ridiculous bias in officiating that actually killed my interest and got me into hockey.

I’m actually relieved because hockey is the best sport in the world and now find it to be a hobby of mine to stay fit!

  9. What do you mean sports commentary betting is getting out of control?
    "Welcome back." (-732)
"Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below, as always." (-700)
"The ref is told he sucks." (-25)
"I'm going to need more cider." (+53)
"It's a little bit noisy in the neighborhood tonight." (+125)
    "Hello? Yes Gary…. Mm-hmm… Mm-hmm… I know Gary, but… Mm-hmm." (+654)

  10. I can understand the suspension to Soucy, but if that's the standard then shouldn't Hyman get one too? He cross checked Zadorov in the head just a few seconds later, and Zadorov reportedly had to get stitches as a result. And if you hit Zadorov in the head, you were REALLY going high.

  11. So Hyman crosschecking Zadorov was nothing. Ryan spearing hoglander in the nuts with plenty of evidence was nothing. Kane sloofooting Hughes was nothing. McDavid was just as much at fault as Zadorov at the end of the game but thats okay because he got hurt.

    Canucks still win the series

  12. With all the gambling I would think the league would make teams give a detailed injury report like the NFL. Hockey only makes a fraction of the popularity and tv money but still if I'm betting on a game I would like to know how injured the players are if they are still in line up. Any thoughts?

  13. “Imagine if they did that for alcohol”

Like all the beer commercials? And the Jäegermeister ads on the boards?

  14. lol 306 to 4. Beautiful.

I will say, Cole won't come out of the lineup but without Soucy that largely makes it seem that Juulsen will slot in, which will have Cole moving over to the left side, where I think he plays a lot better. The key will be that Juulsen not focus too much on hitting. But it does mean the rejoining of the Chaos Zoo (Myers-Giraffe + Zadorov-Rhino) which could be a lot of fun tomorrow night.

  15. Love you Shanon but you’re kinda blind if you call out what Soucy did and not even mention Hyman doing the same thing. Sorry bud but sometimes you’re addicted to being neutral and its annoying.

  16. I notice you’re not talking about Hyman INTENTIONALLY cross checking Zadorov to the face, but only discussing Soucy’s accidental one??

  17. Forget the potential "bias" of officials (it exists, AT LEAST, in the form of "game management", meaning that calls are not made 'by the book', but based on personal decisions regarding everything from the score, the importance of the game, the number of calls made on each team so far in the game, the players involved, the missed call that gets even'ed up, etc.) This cannot be denied, so there's no need to defend the outragious conduct of officials in The NHL.

  18. "When the players, and the coaches, don't know what a penalty is (or isn't), then, don't defend the referees or The NHL; something is seriously BROKEN." – The argument lately, by my count, isn't so much about officials being biased for or towards one team over another (though obviously, it's happened, and been documented, as well as officials having personal biases against particular players, as has been documented – see Canucks Alex Burrows, for example.) No, the concern lately seems to be more about the overall TERRIBLE quality of officiating, generally, and the inconsitency (see below, regarding obvious biases creating acts of inconsistency), specifically. It's not only the fans compaining. It's the players, and the team coaches. No one knows what's going to be called, unless it's a FLAGRANTLY OUTRGAGIOUS PENALTY, but then again (see: McDavid high-stick on Hughes, or the dangerous boarding play against Pettersson in the Gm 3, Canucks/Oilers). When the players, and the coaches, don't know what a penalty is (or isn't), then, again, don't defend the referees or The NHL; something is seriously BROKEN.
