Garnet Hathaway signed with the Philadelphia Flyers back on July 1st 2023. A full calendar year later he would sign a 2 year extension with the Flyers that would start in the 2025/2026 season. Garnet has proven himself valuable in a lot of ways since coming to Philly. He has not only been a good voice in the locker room for the young guys on the roster, hes been a good example on the ice as well. Just his style of play and the way he backs his teammates shows that he wants to be in Philly and wants to see the results of this rebuild. Jamie Drysdale had a lot of hype coming over to the Flyers from the Anaheim Ducks in the deal that sent Cutter Gauthier to the Ducks. One of the biggest issues with Drysdale was his injury history in a short time in the NHL. Drysdale prior to the trade dealt with a massive shoulder injury in Anaheim that had him miss a majority of the season.
