  1. The New York Rangers captaincy 🧑‍✈️ has a legacy on par with Harry Potter’s running gag, the Defense against the Dark Arts Professor. From Mark Messier to Jagr to Chris Drury to Ryan Callahan to Ryan McDonagh….none of these guys retired a NY Ranger. Jacob Trouba will not finish his career with the Rangers. Despite a no-trade list, he’s the easiest to move (after his wife finishes her residency as a MD) vs Mika Zibanejad, Panarin or any of the milk carton post season disappearing acts. Trouba didn’t play well in the post season BUT he shouldn’t be the ONLY reason why the Rangers didn’t defeat the Florida Panthers. It’s just that, this is New York and we LOVE to blame one person.

  2. THG, if Trouba's wife wants to complete her residency in NYC then he's not going anywhere this season. Maybe they trade him after next season or they buy out the final year.

  3. I wonder if they’ll strip trouba of his C since he fought with management he’s a free agent after this year so don’t be shocked if he winds up in Boston or Dallas and leads their blue line to a cup.

  4. God blessed the blues this glorious afternoon.
Tory krug is most likely on ltir for the entire season 🎉🎉🎉 I'm not celebrating he's injured. I'm celebrating that army didn't have to move hell and earth to get out from that contract

  5. "Pascal Vincent" is definitely pronounced the second example you gave. Good for you for pointing it out.

  6. Hats off to Pavelski. "Hated" the Sharks as a Canucks fan. But always respected Pavelski.

  7. NYR fan: Brad Park and Jean Ratelle in Bruins jersey – yuck (and Esposito in Rangers jersey-yuck)

  8. As for Stamkos' new look, I remember having difficulty seeing Gretzky in a Kings uniform (not being in an Oiler one). It took time, but eventually it became odd when he no longer was wearing a King's jersey. 🙂

  9. wish laval better luck with vincent than we had. guy made some seriously asinine decisions with benching developing stars.

  10. Got a video ready to go on RFAs that have let their QOs lapse? Seattlite here waiting for Francis to say… well, anything about the status of #10. (Shakes the internet until some news about Matty falls out)

  11. Seeing Brady in a Buccaneers Jersey was weird as well. So was Gretzky in a Kings jersey… That has to be #1 right? Spoiled it for everyone…

  12. I'm quite happy Trouba is staying. Would've cost us a lot to move on from him, much better off just having him as a third pairing defenseman who from bounce back this year

  13. Maybe Washington can trade for Laine. They already made a huge gamble in acquiring PLD so they might as well grab Laine too…Lol

  14. As a rangers fan I don’t mind Trouba coming back. He has a really bad playoffs but he was playing hurt. Realistically he’s worth 5-6 mil so it’s a tough contract to keep but the Rangers have around 5 mil in cap I believe with Lindgren as an RFA and with no free agents worth too much available trading him wouldn’t help the team too much right now, especially considering his value is probably at an all time low. Give him a year to bounce back and gain more value, and in a year a 1 year deal is a lot more digestible deal for other teams to take. However there will be big issues if he’s still on the team a year from today considering that both Shesterkin and Lafreniere need new contracts after this season
