[Music] this is Rogers TV [Applause] [Music] [Applause] everyone here to the Harry lemonly bore community center on top of what would be the JD mccarthur arena for OSL lacrosse between the league leading Six Nations Riverman and the Owens sound Northstar spener buyers and alongside me Steve McCarthy and Steve second last game of the year and second last home game of the season for the senior B northstars it’ll be the last home game of the year for your MSL Club will be going on at 7:00 tonight after this one but Owens sound’s got a tough test tonight H playing host to again the top ranked Six Nations Riverman yeah they’re extremely deep team and from goal tending right on out so uh we’ll it’ll be certainly a test but Owen Sound typically plays well against Six Nations so uh you know they’ll be primed to uh try to take one here as we quickly go to Fred walls for the national anthem and there is the national anthem so now just seconds away from the face off to begin this senior B matchup and again the Six Nations Riverman Bas I believe they are first by technicality I believe they have one extra win on Brooklyn both teams have three losses as you see in the cage tonight for six nations will be henhawk number 30 I believe he is their second goalie on the squad behind Dustin Hill and tonight it’s Ethan Woods in net for Owen Sound who will get his I believe only second or third start here at home is fourth game of the season as we are now ready to get underway faceof one by the red shirts and the river Riverman look to gain back possession and they do to begin this game so first possession goes in favor of the oide a lot of potent offensive options on this Six Nations senior B team played across the top that ball is given away and it is retrieved by one of the many players from the Junior B team that’s playing for the senior BS tonight that would be Jackson Ray with the steel and now casanet with possession Jordan plays It Forward just caught that one there was Gordy power played a around the back now to Brody casanet back from I think that’s Jordan casanet thought about firing it I believe that’s McNab who fires it down but an illegal screening against Brody casanet will send the ball the other way will mention as Jake mcnab’s only played four games this season in the OSL injuries have really plagued him this summer season nice move there just bodied the defender but a great save by Woods cleans up the mess Six Nations those easily picks back up the rebound that was Sam lir with the Run he’s gonna take another chance at it now play Down durston Duron now back in the middle that I believe was a pass in the end it’s now picked up in the air by Sudan and Tanner Sudan gets taken down and lost possession as he went quick possession change back in favor of the Riverman and again lir looks to fire that one it goes I believe just wide of Ethan woods and it will scoot all the way down to henhawk elen henhawk will play it forward and now six nation’s got about 5 Seconds to get something on target Riley Miller now passes it off try to get that shot away they do but Woods is up to [Music] task and now up the floor kamo and sound and that would be Jack jaon Ray making the transition movement he hands it off now and the away will come Keegan MMO who plays it across the floor waking their way through that shot low and just kept out that’s Nate lck of the Junior B North stars getting that opportunity On Target he was definitely impressive this year for the 13- S Junior Beast played across the top now by the red shirts again bumping through some Defenders there nice back pass just couldn’t get on Target and stepped in as was jostling for it there was Marcus Elvin and Elvin ends up giving up possession yeah that was well broken up by uh number 13 Jake dittle on the defensive side he read the play well got to stick in there and uh stop that two-man little game happening McNab takes that shot ends up getting on target lost the bucket there was Gordy power as away will now go the Riverman a Ackland was the one rushing he gives it off now that shot saved by Ethan Woods as stepping in with Lane Smith and got a good chance wouldn’t have counted regardless but still a good opportunity that would steer it away now Carter Moran the leading Point getter for the junior Squad and now with possession double threes plays it off now to Brody kasinet kasinet back for Moran Moran gets it down low I thought he missed but a good shot there by Lok as he’s still getting battled with there and you got to love that Junior be is not being scared to take the fight to some of the men on the floor against him played up now by the Riverman very physical on offense are the away side whistle going to go and possessions going to go the other way which again you can me I mention the physicality just I’ll say seconds before that happen so it’s a positive but also can lose your possession as Jordan casanet fires over for Riley Thomson and now Owens will come back the other way M Mo plays it off now for Jake McNab McNab fires it down that shot Riley Thompson just got robbed by henhawk and had to go sliding and sprawling to stop the Riley Thompson shot with a what a pass by Jake mcnf yeah it was a great pass that shot just wide of Ethan woods and will scoot halfway up the Zone definitely running in transition are the river men they haven’t been able to get anything really On Target though in that transition game nice move there in shot that one stepped in as well as Lane Smith again just couldn’t get that one on target yeah they got exposed there a little two-man game didn’t pick up the switch and Lane Smith walked right in and uh and Ethan wi made a big big save but it was a crease call nonetheless now Sudan just got dropped didn’t see the hit coming he can argue Blindside as he is still on the floor and now they’ll check on him cuz I think we have a pretty good replay that one the great Mark Perry in the control room because I kind of saw that at a corner my eyes he kind of got I’ll say gave up the suicide pass to Brody casanet but he got flattened yeah I’m sure he just had the wind knocked out of him here is uh his sternum broken cuz uh yeah I’m not quite sure if he was admiring his pass or whether what happened here but uh yeah as you can see he’s we’ll probably get a look at it but yeah he had passed the ball off to the wing side to Brody and uh was kind of following this pass with his eyes and uh big tyon bomberry stepped into him with a with a devastating hit see right there he just got rid of it and then boom got laid out now that was a pretty late hit and it certainly could have been uh called for a penalty he C the ball had already was sitting in Brody C and that stick 15 ft away and uh nonetheless uh will get a face off because of the injured player that ball gets scooted around and I think Ray almost had a chance at it that ball still on the floor scooped up and then flown into the air ball still loose nobody’s getting possession sticks go flying up high everybody kind of barking at each other as again everybody sticks were near shoulder height which is definitely not where you want them to be even though you’re trying to retrieve it as jostling for position there in front of the net are the Riverman again very physical on offense are the red shirts nice move there yeah that’s great Elijah Brown who also plays with the MSL Owen Sound northstars that shot on Woods good save there as Down’s GNA go Owen Dale but Dale gets possession for his team you got big Rory Smith a longtime NL veteran and MSL veteran playing up front there with his big Woody that typically isn’t used to catch or pass but uh nonetheless he found himself on the offensive side of the ball Jordan kasinet there nice pass in front Rony Thompson great save there by henhawk I’m not sure if he actually got it on target I believe he did and that all happened because one of the Defenders lost his stick and kind of got caught trying to pick it back up instead of playing his man which was Riley Thompson who stuck in behind that pass skipped through the middle and is retrieved by Owen Sound and woods set the screen and they will this had a pretty good one as the way will come to northst Stars the other way stopping up now is Ethan Kerr who will hand it off one of the again many one of the many Junior B contingency as McNab now fakes it to Moran McNab gets the double screen gives it off now to Moran Moran will take a run at it gets forced around only got five now to shoot might just have to fire from a mile away off McDow McDow will fire and I may believe just couldn’t get that one on target yeah again Owen s is going to have to uh as we’ve kind of preached time and time again throughout the season find a way to get inside and uh six nations is a veteran Squad a lot of size on their defense and uh you know they’ll give up the long shots all day long and Millan there got the illegal screen call so again possession given back to one sound so the physicality on the river’s offensive side is definitely costed them a little bit here early but it also means it will wear down the Owens sound defense as Jordan casanet runs in casanet great shot but he better saved by henhawk yeah he had a real good look there he went low to high across his body and almost came back short side but henhawk was uh didn’t quite dip his shoulder low enough for the ball to find its way past him lir now gives it back off back for lir that shot saved by woods but does end up going down it did get through Woods it somehow crossed the line it was definitely close as that was the first marker of the game in favor of the Riverman and again unlike uh Owen Sound 6 doesn’t seem to have much of a problem getting inside here and again they’re just going to have to be a lot more diligent on their manto man coverage and uh when a switch comes about uh that’s here you see the number and it’s close there Steve on that replay I’m not exactly sure it looked like it bounced on the line but obviously we don’t have the best angle at it unless it hit the mesh it looked like it hit the post and bounced back out uh you know and unfortunately for Jason Ray he was uh got beat to the net by his man and uh passed across for mcav it got deflected away and now will go away and it’s quickly up the floor and Away comes Kaden Brennan Brennan scores and after they get the first number two follows as Kaden Brennan who played most recently here at the Bay Shore for the MSL CH uh the MSL Six Nations team the Chiefs who won 112 I believe here at the Bay Shore as they’re going to do a little water break as the heat outside here and grey Bruce is smolter as it’s I believe 26 outside right now humidity makes it feel a little bit hotter so making sure the guys were in the Gorilla Gear get a chance to stay hydrated yeah and those are the kind of goals that ow sound can’t afford to give up today the transition goals again Six Nations has a a lot of skill throughout their line up up up front then on the back end and they’re uh they have a lot of weapons and you can’t be giving uh giving guys breakaways from their own end so and on that first goal Samir again uh you know the six nation has a luxury of having some nlll players in their lineup Sam was a regular in the Philadelphia Wings lineup in the nlll and uh he he showed his uh his prowess in front of than that there when you squeak one by Ethan earlier another Faceoff win there for kenoi Ross now and there’s going to be a whistle here is getting forced into the bench there looked to be a norstar I don’t think I see an arm up though Steve so kind of surprised there we see they got a replay of it again as now Riley Thompson yeah played over now for McNab that ball got blocked whatever made it there Gordy power now McNab casanet casanet may just have to fire here he will fire it and SC Jordan caset out with the rocket from the top of the zone makes it 21 and maybe Steve that’s a little bit of a makeup for owan sound it works out not getting that minor but obviously it still would like the power play yeah and again the very same shot that Jordan just about snuck in the last time they had an offensive possession he went low to high across his body kind of a short side and uh was in and out before you could uh say goal but uh again just a rocket of a shot and a big big goal to get there uh to bring them back within one that is for sure and again it’s one they really needed because this Six Nations team is really good especially offensively and if ow gets in a big hole early it may be very hard to claw their way out of it as now Brody casanet fires over for Moran Moran’s going to fire it and I believe that hit hen hok’s shoulder and it did it almost found the hole though between his shoulder and that crossbar yeah as we’ve seen timeing time again the Junior B level Carter is uh that’s kind of his office there he scored a number of goals and he came very close in that [Applause] [Music] opportunity BR cat skinet now right across the top cat skinet that shot saved basically from the opposite side his brother scored yeah as now Six Nations look to push the ball they do that shot just wide as Lane spent to be caught it a little out of stride as he tried to fire anyway yeah again you just can’t sleep on them coming out of the bench they can thread the needle we got a penalty coming not sure if it was too many men yeah was too many and uh so you’re going to have B down go to the power play here once the expiration of this 30 second clock they should get one good chance here looking to fire now McNab McNab is probably going to fire might have to is Cas C get the Fire Hits the post and was centimeters maybe millimeters away from from tying up this game but it is a too many men on the floor call going against the Riverman and I believe going to serve it looks to be double eight in Jordan Duron so with that Owens sound now has a prime chance Steve to tie up this game at two we’ll see if they can do that here on a on a power play against again one of the top tier programs in the senior B division that shot SC Jordan caset it makes it a pair early it’s 22 10 minutes gone only took six seconds to to see that one come through and again Jordan with the underhand this time he kept it low looked like he rattled it off the inside of the leg of uh of henhawk there and uh yeah we’re all knotted up and that’s a great way to answer the two early goals by six Nation I again this senior B Squad I believe is in a playoff spot just as rosow just won that one but ended up losing it on the Kum there as Wesley Whit low will fire it i’ save by Woods Whit low leading the Six Nations Riverman in points within the 40s there going to be a reset here that Ball’s rolled up and now given back here to Six Nations looking for a chance there a slip right in front and good save by Woods anyway as that was was almost a very costly slip but it ended up not costing him in the end yeah again Ray had a little problem with his footing and got beat going to the net and uh big save by Ethan and uh D little was there to pick up the rebound gy power now over for M Mo down for Riley Thompson Thompson trying to make a break for it Thompson nice Shifty move puts it off hen Hawk and that Ball’s bounced back and just couldn’t get a hold of it there it was Thompson who was luckily for Owen Sound lurking behind running into the offensive zone now come the red shirts passed across the top nice back move shot stepped in before it goes but are they going to call it they’re going to say cross check as away is going to go a Northstar for the first time tonight and now for the Riverman they’ll get their power play and it looks like going away yeah that’s uh that’s Sudan I think that took that is it tner Sudan it looks to be double TW yeah and again it’s unfortunate it was a it was a late hit probably on the numbers and the unfortunate part is that Ethan had already made the save so the player had no longer had possession of the goal of the ball and uh was not a threat to score so for the first time tonight the Riverman will have a chance to get their lead back now on the power play that pass across with reacted no fire though back up to the top that shot saved there by woods now now’ll get it into his sticks now he’s got to move it and get it out of the offensive zone but nobody on kenoi Ross now who will the off offensive zone he finally fires it Brody caset just couldn’t retrieve it you’re right there Kori Roso had Brody caset for a good three seconds before he ended up making the pass but six Nation still didn’t react but poor Brody just couldn’t pick up the loose ball no it was looked to be he looked like he was going to turn and shoot before he ever had the ball because that pass although was delayed uh it was certainly uh and scores just through the screen there they created just enough space and Millan gets his first and it’s 3-2 yeah I think that’s Dante Miller 77 who’s a it was an added number to our lineup here so uh again you just have to fight through those screens at the top there and again Jake Jake ditt who is uh probably the the top performer on defensive side of the ball here uh got his back turned and then got pushed out of the way and uh just couldn’t recover and this time of the faceof is won there by six nations has now play up the floor and Away will come the away side again that pass down that shot steps him before he ever gets the shot away so something that’s really plague six nations in this game early is not keeping their feet outside the restricted area they’ve had at least four or five now whistles go against them for that foot just being inside the crease before they [Applause] release casanet now gives it off the power that shot I believe never got there as as you mentioned the one player with the wood he ends up losing his stick there in Mason Hill looking to get across top there was lir again Miller that shot it was another good save there by woods and now flying up the floor will come the northstars do little gives it off to Riley Thompson Thompson spinning fired it there for be there it would be lck lck will fire it just wide that ball bounces Thompson Will retrieve it may just have to fire from mile away he’ll just dump it into the corner smartly and another chance here for Owens sound to [Music] work yeah it’s best to make them come 200 fet when you get a controlled change there rather than trying to take a shot out of desperation that low on the shot clock so good good on the that pass into the middle again just put wide yeah by the Riverman but now flying up the floor come the Northstar in transition will be fended off there looks to be Matt M I’m not sure who’s wearing 15 that’s certainly not Mt McLoud so uh we’ll get updated on that we’ll check the game sheath it look it does look like a junior B player okay and that was Logan cleus of the Junior B so I would be right in saying it was a junior B looking player as mcnab’s going to draw a penalty there as away is going to go and more some more bumping as guess who it is it’s it looks to be it’s Rory Smith Rory Smith who’s got the Woody and I’m going to say this and I may regret it but I’m not exactly impressed he went after one of the Junior B guys and again I I understand that Nate Lok is a physical player at the junior be level has shown that here tonight for the senior be’s but still I I think there’s got to be a little bit of temperament when you’re dealing with some of the younger guys but maybe again you’re playing at the the senior B level you’re going to treat like a senior B player yeah I’m sure that’s the way that Rory would look at it and uh yeah he’s not too discriminating on who he might want to take a whack at that ball got blocked and it looked like it hurt as now rushing will go Six Nations chance to get a free shot away they do and and woods got it just as it almost snuck through his legs but just able to pull butterfly there with woods and make the save as now Jordan cas’s got two both goals for Owens sound tonight one on the power play Thompson MC casanet for McNab that shot right off the shoulder and hen HW bounced it directly to a Defender that ball stolen mered shot great save by H HW rebound blocked for the net caset still couldn’t retrieve it and a great job by six nations to not allow that chance to go and now six nations are in the offensive zone nice Spin and they should retreat they have not yet we’ll see if they do is do little putting on lots of pressure down goes the player ball is somehow fished over Riley Thompson got dogged on basically is now picked up by woods so after all of that bro Cas now make his way back down the floor and Jake dittle did a great job job getting that ball back uh I think there’s another minor going against Six Nations and there is as Woods was slowly making his way towards the [Applause] bench and we’ll see what this one’s for it looks to be for a unsportsmanlike conduct so going away for it is Lane Smith I’m not sure if it’s a bench call or a call on Lane Smith but with that it’ll now be 36 seconds of five on three one like four on three with the extra players sitting in the neutral zone as it looks to be I believe that is cleus who will sit in that neutral zone with the four on three for basically a full 30 should be a full 30 Steve and again cleus one of the Junior B players who ended up going out to the Hamilton I believe Bengals they are Bengals at both levels of senior B and Junior B casanet M uh M uh pardon me McNab just couldn’t NAB that one right off of his foot but cus able to pick up the loose ball and Kus will hand it off Riley Thompson down low kasinet casanet and mdav again couldn’t retrieve it and cus has got to run back for it as that will be the shot clock yeah that’s pretty poor execution when you’re got a two-man advantage and you can’t get a shot on goal or even keep possession so and now they’re going going to give it up here and that’s a great save there by Woods as spinning behind himself there with Sam lir who’s got one rolled and that was a errant pass there by one of by Owen Dale as now again a free chance here for 30 seconds to run off the power play here for six nations yeah that’s just uh just a undisciplined turnover absolutely no reason to be rolling the ball there and there going to pay the price by giving up another 302 clock here and they’re going to get another 302 cuz they weren’t able to stop the shot from getting to the net it’s gone out of bounds and uh six nations may have a good chance of chewing the rest of this clockup definitely not what Owen Sound would have wanted here from a five on three especially down by one as it has been a struggle tonight ear at least late in this first period they a decent decent start did a good job of getting back in this game and now they’re kind of behind the eight ball again as that ball is given up to Mike McLoud who will play it back well they will get a possession here with about 25 seconds left on the penalty and uh this not to interrupt you but normally always mention it that they have to be careful because if they take a shot too late that player jumps out and it’s Lane Smith who’s had some really good opportunities here tonight that shot from McNab it’s a good save Thompson collap collapses bounces out to Moran fresh shot clock so it will turn into five on five with ensan having possession what a pass to Brody Cas he caught it but couldn’t fire C at Moran Moran will fire it good save ball loose and Moran trying to get back possession doesn’t and now the Riverman will come back into the offensive zone with Lane Smith hanging out waiting for the ball to get to him play back now [Music] again that ball just getting forced around here as 5 seconds left from the shot clock to fire it they play it back to absolutely nobody and that will go back in favor of Owen Sound and that would that should have been a delay of game call there was again you can’t throw you have to set the ball down on the turnover and after the clock expired it was throwing down into this the zone mention we like to thank Pizza Hut for pardon me Boston Pizza for tonight’s crew as there’s only about a minute left left here in this first period 3-2 in favor of the oide as that ball just got to ro casanet yeah and they want to be real careful here last time the play they played a real strong first period here and uh you know it be nice for them to get a shot early in the clock here and maybe a reset so again they’re going to have to start working off ball a lot harder than they have been to this point so they can get inside that ball got deflected before it ever got got to Moran and I will mention that at least number a number nine is on the floor for six nations I I have Wesley Whitlow as that number nine who is one of their most more important offensive options I only have I not seen him play one offensive shift yet Steve he’s not even on the game sheet so not exactly sure what’s going on there it’s a nice move by six nations that shot good save there by Ethan Woods maybe one possession remains here in this first period and it should go to six stations and it will go to six stations and they saw the clock and that was a quick little glance here from Sam mcir who said we’ll take this last possession rushing to the net uh rushing to the bench goes henhawk rushing into the floor comes six Nation six on five play across the top that shot scores Lane Smith just before the game clock expires with 3.5 seconds left the Riverman double ow and sound 42 yeah that’s again just a critical goal to give up that late in the period And it resulted in not being the Corral loose ball Six Nations did pick up that loose ball with about 20 seconds to go had an opportunity to get a hen Haw to the bench goes six on five and and uh it was a blast from the outside and uh it did find its way over Ethan wood shoulder I’m sure he’d like to have that one back as well but uh face off now will just be tied up and that will be the period 42 after one in favor of the 13 and2 Riverman this game meaning something to both teams this late in the year as the Riverman are still trying to claim the top spot in the OSL battling with the Brooklyn Merchants while Owen Sound is at the other side of the spectrum battling for the last spot in the playoffs to play What would most likely be the river Riverman or Brooklyn in the first round so this technically also looks like a primer for what could be a first round playoff series of which obviously you’d think that Riverman are favored but with that first period as much as ow sers down by two Steve they definitely were pretty impressive at times yeah I mean it was a fairly evenly played first period I mean Owen sown hasn’t had quite the offensive opportunities that Six Nations have but nonetheless uh they fared pretty well and uh they had been able to capitalize on the power play uh second opportunity especially in the five on three we might be looking at a different score here that is for sure but with that we’ll be right back for some first mission festivities there are no interviews tonight so it just be back up to me and Steve to break down what we saw and we’ll take a CH get a chance to take a look at the standings we’ll get a chance to look at the player scoring but with that we’ll be like for the rest of this 40 minutes they’ve got left let’s take a quick glance at the OSL standings because again Six Nations is I believe right now in top spot just ahead of the Brooklyn Merchants as they are but again that’s only and it’s actually just because of I believe head-to-head because they’re tight on points tight on wins both 13 and two as you can see there on your screen Owen Sound meanwhile 4- n with one tie just ahead of Clear View they have again one game remaining after tonight which is tomorrow so these points are vital for both teams as again Six Nations tries to claim the top spot well and sound tries to claim the last playoff spot which would mean playing against one of Six Nations or Brooklyn in the first round and again Steve we’ve talked about it basically all year since we saw the Brooklyn and Six Nations rosters they’re deep they’re good and they expect to be playing for the President’s Cup this year yeah they’ll they’ll no doubt one of those two will certainly be favored uh to represent Ontario although Hamilton’s really shown well recently uh you know they’re well coached they have uh you know solid lineup probably not the star studed offensive players that you see in both Brooklyn and Six Nations but uh you know they could surprise some people in the in the the first round certainly and uh again Owen Sound it’s a scrappy Bunch if they if they can hold on to their situation right now is uh in the fourth place slot and and get six nations they always play them top so we we’ll see not only that Steve they also again just got back Jake McNab who only played four games of that 14 games they played so far this year so again he’s also a big ad to the team which again he’s been in there tonight we’ll see if he can have a bigger impact when the rest of the 40 kind of looked I’ll say a little bit unlike himself but again when you only played four games it’s kind of hard to see that he got some Rust obviously with the injury yeah again I mean he you know didn’t show a lot of rust last weekend playing up on the major team he ended up with three goals in that game uh but yeah Jake has to move his feet has to be uh he can’t just want to stand in one spot and shoot the ball although he has a lot of success from that area you uh this team you’re going to have to move and play with your teammates in order to have any kind of can’t you can’t give uh you know the quality team’s extra opportunities which they had gotten because they were managed to pick up a loose ball in the last 20 seconds back into the period um yeah so just a lot of little things they tend to amount to big things on the scoreboard so they want to limit their mistakes and they try to take advantage of any ones they do get on the other side well we’ll of Ethan woods and I will mention something so I’ve been saying elen hen um henhawk for six St because he was the 30 on machet it happens to actually be Dustin Hill who is their main starter so Dustin Hill is in the cage for six nations his eighth game of the year so it does make sense why Six Nations has look so good cuz Dustin Hill is a is a very good goalkeeper and does play for the MSL Squad as well as that shot good save there that power on Hill yeah and recently acquired Drew Hutson from uh the NSM more James gang is backing up tonight so he didn’t make it on our initial roster sheet either but he’s uh he was traded for Lane hka who uh typically would wear number 27 and now it’s Drew Hutchinson that pass down going to fire it right into the padding there of woods Woods couldn’t trap as that Ball’s now stuck in front of him ball rolling around now pick back up and retreating there is lir passed across the top that shot right into the meat of woods Woods looks to push it we’ll think about it now will push it he gets it right up there to Ethan Kerr Kerr will run it into the offensive zone for the second and then will’ll hand it off and gives it out to m Mo Keegan Melo never had the ball he got flattened and obviously injured on the play and uh you know the fact he was a blind side hit is irregardless the fact that he never touched the ball you know certainly comes into question why there was no call that ball played into the corner nobody home but a possession change will go in favor ow and sound is getting dumped on that play with sers suan who had to hit the transition have been a theme tonight for six stations they haven’t been able to capitalize on it as of yet until now well again that would be the second goal they’ scored in transition on a breakaway I think uh Kaden Brennan Ken Brennan had the one earlier and again you just can’t give this team they they’re going to get enough opportunities on offense because they move the ball so well and they’re big bodies with a lot of skill when you’re going to continue to give up transition opportunities it’s uh the score is going to multiply uh quite quickly as some rough draw stuff there between the two NES on both sides taking the draws as now Six Nations will take it looking for an option decides better and we’ll play it around now that shot low saved picked back up now by Riley Thompson who’s on the defensive end not exactly where he normally is as dittle now will run it dle had a open Jack uh Jason Ray but decided a better of it and gives it off for the offensive players played those open lanes so they get clear shots to the goal and hopefully they can manufacture some ways to get inside as well and uh you know they’ll have a lot more success dured backer BR mclair now that pass down that shot right off the foot of Ethan Woods Cho that and safe here by lir that ball played in for lir couldn’t retrieve thought he was behind the goal line he’ll now make his way into the an adjustment there I will mention in one of those open spots was Carter Moran who’s got a goal tonight and is a potent shooter even at this level pass across top six nations just happy to pass this in this game today for uh with a 6-3 score now halfway through and again lir coming off the bench just a clear path to the net and again veteran guy and uh just one fake comes across and goes underneath Ethan Woods’s glove so well positioned shot not much Ethan could do other than maybe trying to get a leg on it but I’m certain that he tried and he also knew the CLA was going to get it cuz you kind of saw there on the replay see he pointed out he was like well looks like it’s going to be one-on-one we’re going to a chance to see here the casanet almost goal he was not in the crease his foot was near that line Steve and he does step in but it does look like he released before that second foot came down so obviously the referee thought from his angle that that first foot landed on the line not just off which is what it looked like from our replay again yeah it’s easy to easy to tell when you the advantage of the replay so it was a bang bang situation he did end up in the crease but the ball had already uh cross the line but um perhaps not held now in deep is that ball right in the feet kicks kicked around now ball still kind of loose nobody’s gain back possession just yet as now 50 not nine nice move there just got it away what a pass it scores just got that one away and Six Nations makes it 73 and what a pass that was from the knees as Greg Elijah Brown who’s wearing double sixes makes it 73 and again he’ll be back in action in couple hours playing in the white and orange as they’re going to do a little white there and I believe just in front of Ethan woods but again what a PA from the back there of the player who got knocked down in front I didn’t get a chance to see that number Steve but what a pass that was to be able to get rid of it and I actually believe it was 11 which is hair hair wires hair wires yeah we get a little break in the action with a little sweat mop action there clean up which which allows Dustin Hill to take his walk to the bench and get some more water and again I will mention Dustin Hill wearing the field Lacrosse Helmet something I’ve talked about a lot this year because as a guy who has never played nor thought about it because I’m 5’4 and would get very hurt in this type of sport and I’m also not fast so I don’t I don’t make up for my lack of height with my um right my top end speed so with that I kind of find it interesting between the guys who wear the field helmet versus wearing the hockey bucket in both like Outfield as well as the [Music] goalies as Now Thompson will pick that ball up faked it and we’ll keep it moving he’ll get the screen now from Nate Lok who will retrieve it now Lok quickly down for casanet Brody casanet will fire it that’s right into the net there of Hill as Lok got forced into the crease there as the defender kept pushing that was Mason Hill played up the floor now by the red shirts play around now by the aways side most recent goal scorer that shot right into the chest of high with his basically a punch if you will and how that’s only two minutes again is uh is it was an obious a 10th injure and you know again the referees have the discretion and uh that wasn’t just a little slip that’s an offensive player just taking advantage of a of an unwitting defensive player and uh and again not only that Steve doesn’t have a ball which adds to it nowhere near the ball might they get when they’re in the offensive zone because that’s what you’re going to need to do whether it’s on the power play or five on five or what have you again just really crisp passing and uh you get the Dustin ill having to look from one side to the other move his feet and the net opens up and uh card Miranda did a great job depositing on a one-time and you mentioned it Steve that they Dustin Hill as Jackson Ray just couldn’t get that one through the veteran net Miner Ray now just trying to find a way to scoop it around Duron Duron was just kind of waiting for Ray to stop pestering him play across the back now that ball bounced away as picked back up by Ray Ray I don’t know be a whistle here is they’re trust I think trying to get the in front the offensive end I think was what the one I was trying to do here is they finally get that timeout yeah they got the timeout I not sure why they weren’t sending someone off the bench they had uh Jordan dur retreating in D on D who had no interest in doing so and another bigger uh lumbering offensive player and they certainly would have had a crack off the [Music] bench 94 in favor of Six Nations as ow sound may have [Music] the as Six Nations look to try to fend off maybe the last possession of the period definitely a lot better period for the away side even though technically speaking Steve it is basically a carbon copy of the first as in scoreboard wise it was 426 Nations coming into the second is now 94 so that’s only a 52 differential in favor of the Riverman but when you put those two score lines together it makes it look rather lopsided in favor of the away side but again In fairness to Owens sound they’ve had their moments and in Lacrosse no lead is safe so we’ll see if Owen town can get one back here before the second period expires yeah I mean they’re going to have uh and they are going to pull Woods I’m surprised they took them so long to pull Woods as now Ethan Woods will come to the bench I’m not sure what they’re there should be 25 left on the shot clock that’ll have to be reset here and they will count that down they didn’t get it down to 25 but I guess close enough as one sound again will try to chew as much as this time off the clock as I think technically speaking there’s about 5 Seconds between shot clock and game clock Ro casanet back now for Jordan casanet off for righ Thompson passed over down for McNab that ball was blocked Brody casanet lost it Kur Woods already back on the floor trying to fire it towards the open net and it is 104 in favor as diving for it there was woods but just couldn’t get there and that’s a second for Kaden Brennan and Six Nations now up by six yeah again just uh unable to maintain possession of the ball when you’re in the six on five possession and uh you know it’s when you turn it over you’ve got any no help there and uh casanet was unable to retrieve that loose ball and uh Ethan Woods made a valiant effort to get in the net but uh you know Kaden Brennan uh sniped it from about 50 ft out out to to be the diving Ethan Woods as this face off with 7 seconds left will bounce right in front of the Penalty Box bodies go flying and that will be the period I will ask you Steve before we go since obviously the difference between hockey and Lacrosse you can put the B goalie back in and it be a effective strategy obviously in hockey it’s not exactly a um a strategy that is that has been used in Lacrosse obviously you saw there Woods was flying back on the floor as I believe Jordan casanet released him does that count as a goal against actually was looking at the Six Nations list as you see there Brooklyn again tied for first place also litter the score sheet Jordan caskinette is there there and I believe we’ll call that six spot but you do see the bottom three Whit low who is not here tonight Jordan Gard who is here tonight as well as Jordan Duron who’s here tonight all on the score sheet there in Goddard and durston as well as Jordan ccan who’s got the first two goals of the night for Owens sound so Owen S no matter what if they end up getting Brooklyn or six nations they’re probably going to struggle in their first round series but as we saw in that first period Owen can play with teams like Brooklyn and Six Nations they just need to make it consistent for a full 60 which they have not been able to do consistently throughout this year and injuries I think have played a factor again Jake mcav has only played his fifth game tonight in the OSL season so it just hasn’t exactly been the season Owen s tonight which would be a tall order same thing with ens sound playing against Six Nations tonight it’s going to be interesting if if CLW can get the result tonight so we should know by about 10 season for both Brooklyn and the Riverman while Owen down in Clear View play their second last game tonight against Brooklyn in Six Nations respectively and then Owen Sound play Hamilton tonight here in Owen Sound while Clear View play the James gang down back in stainer so Owen Sound will know by tomorrow tomorrow’s game against Hamilton if they’ve already clinched their rightful playoff spot or if they got to win tomorrow to make sure they keep it while the Bengals are obviously stuck in third place just a waiting to see who they will play if that is one of Six Nations or Brooklyn again for ow and sound in tonight’s game but it may not matter as again Clearview has got a play host to the Brooklyn Merchants tonight and if Clearview is not able to get a win or a tie it will not matter tomorrow Owens s will have clinched the fourth and final playoff spot in the [Music] OSL nice spin there played back again to Lair who will just fire it saved by Woods as now it will land right into
