For a second I thought this was a Lindgren signing and I got real panicked.
I wouldn’t mind a similar contract for Laffy. Similar half point per game average between the two. I wouldn’t be surprised if Laffy does well this year and pushes for more, though.

So LA seems to think Byfield is going to be a good 2/3W. That isn’t a first line wing contract given the 5 year term.

Laf would get more if he has a similar year to this past season. If he plays worse or just puts up lesser numbers, this is where he will end up.
