going to mention at this uh this episode uh Brooks blooms we don’t always give her a shout out but we will at the start of the episode my name is adzy and of course with me my best friend another best on ground performance in the weekend which was great to watch Josh Dunley how are you mate I’m good thanks mate definitely not best on ground but uh it was a good outing for us nice to get another win um yeah been a good week how you going a yeah been a little bit better been a bit of a challenging week in terms of footy but other than that life’s great I do want to start the podcast off though with uh talking about my beautiful partner Kimberly Rell wait wait wait wait wait I want to do this because I want to start I was going to start tonight with our Bloom of the week okay okay and I think we both can come to the conclusion that our Bloom of the week yes is Kimmy so continue your talk now I love that mate you read my mind she was going to be my Bloom of the week um yeah so obviously for those who don’t know Kimmy just announced her retirement from professional netball um 11 years of playing at the highest level she obviously represented the diamonds um Firebirds mainly she obviously came to Melbourne and played for the mag pies for a couple seasons and um bless her soul doing that cuz I wouldn’t have been able to meet her and uh we wouldn’t have been able to have little Georgie which we’re both so very proud of but yeah she announced her retirement today um um quite an emotional day for her well quite an emotional last couple days CU um coming to the realization that this is her last week and um you know week in terms of preparing for a game and and just being an an an athlete at the highest level it’s it’s I could only imagine it’s a very emotional week for and one that we’re all going to experience at some point in our life so for her to be going through that um now and and to have the announcement today and and then obviously have the love come her way she’s had you know that many people reach out to her as you could imagine and um she actually did message me and say Josh sent me the nicest message with a cry face and then she sent me a message what you sent to her so um yeah know that that meant a lot to her obviously cuz she loves you um very dearly my friend so yeah just wanted to start the potty off by saying um how proud of her I am obviously I know how proud you are as well um love her with all my heart she’s had um tremendous impact on not only you know all the people that she’s come across but me she’s been you know my number one motivation and inspiration um you know in particular the last few years and and being away from her she’s been my number one support so um to have been uh to to have to have been a small part of her little journey and and see her you know represent Australia come back and Captain obviously the Firebirds um it’s been something that I love watching from afar and something that I’m extremely proud of to be there standing by our side so so love you very much Kimmy I think uh I think you’re an absolute Superstar and all the love that you get this week is is Thoroughly deserved you’ve been one of the greats of Australian neor one of the greats in particular for the Queensland Firebirds and yeah well done to uh my girl Kimmy love it mate you’ve said it very well summed it up perfectly I’ll read out some of the Honors that she’s had CU I saw this post today actually by Fox neppo so she’s played 60 times for Australia this is her International career she’s won gold at the 2015 nle World Cup gold in 2014 Commonwealth Games four-time winner of the netball quad series which is 1617 18 and 18 so two times in 18 and then a domestic career honors she’s she’s played in two winning Neto championships 15 and 16 two Neto Championship All Stars 15 and 16 2015 Firebirds player of the year 2016 Championship Finals series MVP so quite a uh a a resume there mate career honors incredible and as you said yeah been an inspiration to many so well done Kim definitely the high achiever of the family between us to so I’ve got a lot to make up for in the latter ends of my career but yeah as you said well done to Kimmy um now that we’ve gotten that out of the way yeah my weekend you did ask how my weekend was my weekend other than um obviously the game was it actually pretty pretty funny had a couple funny moments it was a particular moment I wanted to bring up that actually gave me quite a bit of laugh on Sunday we obviously got back on the Saturday post game and um I haven’t chopped for clothes in a long long long long time and I actually bought this nice little jumper usually I’ll try and rep resent the ads and dunks podcast hoodie but I thought I’d wear this South Street hoodie which I like um what do you think of it actually first and foremost you like it it’s a good color suits suits your kind of style you know yeah thanks mate appreciate it I know that was sarcastic from you so thank you but I was I was at the front of um hype the shoe store and I seen uh this mom and her two kids they were kind of following me around oh when I say two kids they probably would have been 16 17 they were kind of following me around I could tell they wanted to get a photo and anyway I think they they seen their opportunity because I was standing um kind of by myself Cooper was inside buying some shoes they come over and they’re like oh can we get a photo I was like yeah no worries all good and got the photo with the kids and the mom goes oh you’re you’re injured at the and I was like uh no no played yesterday she goes oh what you playing the twos I was like no who do you think I am she goes oh you’re John Noble are you and I was like no I’m not John Noble I mean love John Noble I was a teammate of his and he’s a great man but no I’m not John Noble she goes oh who are you I was like oh my name’s Adam TR she goes oh I knew that and then off she walked off so it was it was quite funny manate had a funny little CH I actually saw a funny thing the other day of Cam monster I think it was a grilled thing that storm did they posted it and there was this these two girls that walked up to the counter and money was behind the till and um they thought he played for Collingwood because they asked him all you know how the P go on the weekend and he thought what the heck’s going on here and he told everyone that he’s playing for the storm and they said thought you Jordy to so bit of a funny one there and apparently it was a prank on him so I didn’t know that BR let us know that just before so um funny story there too well they’re both I’d say trait wise probably similar to how powerful and strong they are so I don’t mind the comparison um have you ever had anyone come up to you and mistake you for someone no I haven’t no I don’t reckon I’m not very uh recognizable mate I’ll just go under the radar you know what do you mean 6’4 90 kegs ravishly good-looking if that’s even a word it’s probably not even a word look like a look like a movie star as if no one comes up to you and recognizes who you are no I’ve got to be whereing my ads and dunks um apparel mate to get recognized because they only recognize you when we’re together but um no but I have got a Funny Story one of the young boys actually told me the other day that when he was out in Brisbane uh a few weeks back uh he people thought he was me and he went along with it so he was loving it who which young boys is it which young boy was it uh will mlin one of our mid-season draft so he’s only just hilarious oh that is so good he just he’s just shaved his head he shaved off the um private school boy haircut and has now gone full like country mode and um yeah people thought he looked like me so we’re talking pre-season version of Josh Dunley when you went almost almost baled and you shaved your head and you still pulled it off I mean probably one of the very few can pull anything off but um oh that was a that was probably you could probably perceive that as the wrong thing by saying that oh that’s funny I did actually have another story um yesterday when I was getting a uh a hot chocolate from Max brener what a uh what a hot chocolate joing that is isn’t that Jos one in Queensland actually near near um our house in Queensland when Kimmy lives they’ve actually got rid of that Max Brer at uh tendale shopping center so I’m bit flight about that when I go up there but um I was walking out at about oh it would have been about 8:50 I was on the way back from a birthday dinner myself and Cooper and we’re walking out and there was these oh there would have been 16 17 year old um kids school holidays they hanging out and there’s a couple boys couple girls there and um you know I can tell they wanted to say something but they obviously weren’t at the time and we’re walking out and anyway last minute as I’m about to turn right one of them turns around he goes oh tror I was like yeah he goes bag is by 60 this week mate I was like oh thanks mate I just kept walking out so uh I had two quite uh funny interactions it was the highlight of my weekend that’s a classic I don’t know why people would say that type of stuff anyway whatever that’s what it’s all about it is funny cuz you know this I’ve said this to you before and it’s a little little pet peeve of mine I don’t like being called tror I hate when people call me tror yep so those out there that you know might play against Adam in the next couple weeks or for the rest of the season make sure you call him tror because he hates it no let me put it I mean if people if they know who I am right they know my first and last name m and if my first name’s Adam obviously the most common nickname for Adam is ADS you’d think that they would come up and call me ads or adsy well yeah but if someone calls you ads it’s more than likely someone that you know if someone called me Josh then it’s or or dunks for example like I’d know that they would if someone that you know whereas if someone calls me dunk I know that there’s someone that you don’t know so it’s like yeah nah n I’m just going to give that a not don’t call me please I beg you when we’re out don’t call me TRW it gives me it makes my blood boil just that little bit when they call me TRW I just want to be called ads so um yeah how was your weekend anyway by the way we didn’t touch on your weekend I went out to watch the girls on Saturday night before we played on Sunday and before that was at the vfl to watch Kaiser play uh for the Lions which was another good game for him kicking two and had about 20 old touches and he’s having a pretty good year Kaiser so who knows what the next few weeks holds and the rest of the year but hopefully he gets another gets another look in potentially somewhere um but yeah never knows but no it was nice mom and dad came up on Friday so they’re up for the week so spending a bit of time with them over the weekend and then we obviously played Sunday so it was a bit of a a longer weekend got Monday off but um yeah the weekend was pretty busy full of sport sounds like a riveting weekend mate sounded fun uh the Sunday the Sunday games are always a little bit more challenging cuz it drags out the week a little bit more and then your week starts a little bit later the following week leading into this week and you’ve got another Sunday Blockbuster this weekend so uh enjoy the Sunday games for the for the near future um well if there’s nothing else to talk about from the weekend mate we may as well get into the games we’ll talk about our games we’ll go with your oh yeah let’s do it we’ll start with we’ll start with mine because we’ll end it on a on a good weekend for you because you guys obviously had a great win uh we obviously played on the Saturday Avo uh nice time slot 145 I do love the time slot it’s good over there you it is good isn’t it and I tell you what mate it’s probably the hottest 15 degrees I’ve ever played in in my life because I’ve been been been in Melbourne for the last I think when was our last away game I can’t even remember when it was and it is been literally probably wouldn’t have topped 13° 14° it’s been freezing the mornings have been freezing and we got over there and played in a beautiful 15 degrees in sunny and there was times throughout the game where I was like it’s a hot out here this is ridiculous I’m roasting out here and it was 15 degrees so uh that was the only thing that went well for us on the weekend the weather other than that did you get a bit of sunburn mate sun on the skin I did you know how I you know how I strapped my wrist I strapped my wrists and when I took them off mate my skin would there was a nice little tan there so I’ve lost it already two days post uh coming back to Melbourne there’s been no sun nothing but rain and coldness but um yeah that was the only good thing about the weekend for us we obviously didn’t play overly well yeah I was watching when I was out at the vfl and um right from the start it looked like the the Midfield got on top uh which is obviously a focus I think for every team every week is as soon as a mids can get on top then it goes a long way you know winning territory and then setting themselves up so what was there what was the discussions out there like the first quarter was pretty hectic and would have been hectic for you guys because you would have been trying to problem so solve out on the field but what were the things that were going around what were you talking about with the boys you’re obviously trying to problem solv in real time but the game goes by so quick it’s hard at times and I felt like we kind of got beaten by what we know which is probably the most disappointing thing um you know we prefer we prepare ourselves well and I def felt like we prepared well we had a great training week and um really set ourselves for this game we knew that they were going to you know well really soak up being at home but really come with an edge and um you know they’re a high handball team they really get chains going and um use the corridor probably I think they use the corridor more than anybody in the AFL I believe it could be maybe first or second they do and we knew that and yeah we got beaten by what we know and that’s the most frustrating thing um you know they got on Top early and and definitely rode the momentum from that first quarter and um from a defensive point of view I think there’s just way too many breakdowns and you know we gave ourselves too much of a well we gave them too much of a head start to even you know give ourselves a chance the game was essentially over at quarter time which is the most disappointing thing um we then have naughty goes down which which clearly hurts us up forward we had um James odonnell go down um both with concussion which you know hurts us cuz they’re key pillar players and we then have to throw the the magnets around and um for what it’s worth I think Rory lob had a great game in terms of being able to adjust to where he’s playing played a bit of rck forward and back so um that was probably one of the positives from the game but yeah we we were beaten from the very start um very disappointed the the Midfield um owns a lot of that in particular in that first quarter we let you know Rosie Butters and olle wines kind of do whatever they wanted and um you know we wear that and extremely disappointed that we allowed that so yeah we we reviewed um you know we had a couple where we reviewed um the start of the game and what really hurt us um and we reviewed that really closely the last couple days it’s been you know a few days post game now and um you know as we typically do um they’re always really hard to that’s Vision that’s hard to watch at times because you never want to see whether it’s yourself or whoever it is um not doing the wrong thing but you know being in the wrong position order it may be it’s sometimes hard to see so yeah we did a bit of that and um yeah now preparing ourselves the colon game yeah it’s a it’s a great talking point I think you know you talk about reviews and meetings and whatnot and even we still have it today like you got to remember I think as fans and people supporting the game that it’s not just on you know one or two or three or four players like as soon as one player May or something breaks down it just affects everyone so like little moments where someone might come forward to defend and they shouldn’t come forward and they should hedge a little bit more that then flows on to the next and then everyone’s caught out of position so those little things the little efficiencies in the game are so important and as you said like you would have had a few of those on the weekend that Port just took complete advantage of and from there it was just a flowing effect throughout the day yeah I think um it’s a good point you make I think a lot of I mean if you’re a fan watching the Bulldogs play um and this is not just this season historically even back from when Bevo first started to now he’s been you know I love the way that he it um implores us to be really bold in our offense and really take the game on and we’ve always been like that ever since I’ve been here been like that and even prior of me being here Inc yeah that was the kind of footy that we played and you know we lost a bit of that on the weekend and I think that really you know stem their game and when we did try to create something um you know you wouldn’t have to be the smartest man alive or woman alive to know that when you watched us when we did try to create something we actually at times overused it and we had players you know I guess trying to read the the second bit of the play on offense and be out of position in a way because that’s how we typically play and I guess what I’m trying to say is the predictability side like we just probably weren’t you know good enough in that aspect and it and it really really flowed into their game they had like I can’t pinpoint the amount of opportunities they had going forward where they actually had an outnumber forward of the ball cuz you know we we just shot ourselves in the foot by how we wanted to move move it so yeah that you know it’s always it’s always hard because the the games you always think back to where what went wrong like why why did we allow port to dominate the game the way we let them Dominate and whatnot and and it’s never it’s never nice to watch it and and be a part of those games because you know me being one of the senior players you always think you know could I’ve done more could I’ve done this could I have helped my teammate there could I you know have helped him in this position so yeah it wasn’t a good weekend for us and um you know something that we’ve one thing that we’ve done historically in the past that I’m very proud of is we we we Bunch together and we really attack the following week and we have the last couple of days and um I said last week our our fixture is doesn’t get any easier and we’ve got Carlton this week who off the back of two losses who will want to win and Patty Crips is 200 there’s a lot of reason for them to play and vying for a top two spot so there’s a lot at stake for both teams yeah I’m looking forward to watching that one um yeah I’m sure your boys will be ready to bounce back though he you probably can’t say but you’ve got a few outs still this week don’t you like Jonesy in that potentially play yeah I think obviously nauy and and James O’Donnell out which are big outs for us I’m not sure about Jonesy obviously he had um hurt himself against North I think it was we missed Cody wa missed as well so I think those guys are just waiting to see how they train and hopefully we can get them in but yeah we’ve got a few injuries at the moment which hurt us as well yeah oh I’m sure you’ll bounce back mate You’ll Play Your Best footy on Saturday afternoon I think it is at Marvel Stadium but we’ll move on to my game uh yeah it was a it was an interesting one cuz I felt like we we played good enough footy to get over the line but we probably should have taken more of our opportunities and and the score shouldn’t have been as close I feel like it was one of those games where you sort of walk away you know you get the win you’re happy but we we’ve still got so much to improve I feel as a group so that was a bit of the you know the you today um this morning actually we went through a few things that we can tidy up and things that are letting us down I I feel like opposition teams are scouting a few things that are that are beating us you know um at the moment so disappointing in some aspects of the game but positive to get the win again yeah I thought that is kind of how you’re going to review it because I I was able to watch most of your game the only bit of the game I missed was your goal which was a nice goal it’s a ripping goal um other than that I watched pretty much the whole game um and I felt like that’s probably how you’re going to review it because there was at times throughout the game where it looked like you boys were just going to run away with it and to Adelaide’s credit they really fought back and made it a real close game right to the very end I mean to lose only by I think 11 points I think it was um and and have a shot to go almost two kicks behind um you know is there I wouldn’t say frustration but is that something that you look at you look at those moments where you know where we’re not probably finishing plays or whatever it may be are we getting too um complacent in a way is there areas that you look at where it’s like oh we need to be better there yeah that’s 100% right like you’re looking at um little plays where as I touched on before with you like with your game and it happens in every AFL game I feel like if someone if one person’s off a little bit in that you know distinct moment then that just flows onto the rest of the team and that’s what we had the other day you know if as soon as one guy’s out of position and the next guy’s out of position then they went what you know they went Coast to Coast a few times in in that second half so it was that’s a that was a disappointing thing I feel like when we had you know we could have put the foot on the throat a little bit and um you know challenged challenged them a little bit more and stamped our Authority on the game we probably lacked it so yeah looking to improve that this week against the Eagles yeah well I guess at the same time um the fact that you’re still able to win those games and I think it’s that’s five or six in a row for you got boys now must be something that you’re um you know excited about in in the last seven games of the year to see where you guys can go but I did want to talk about your form once again mate best player on the ground in my opinion obviously Loy Neil had a ripping game as well but I’ll always give you the three votes because I love you um yeah you must be you must be pretty pumped about your last few weeks you’ve been yeah you’ve been incredible to watch and from not only from an offensive point of view your defensive stuff is probably what um you know shines a lot of the time but you must be pretty pumped yeah I was actually a little bit disappointed on the weekend with my ball use uh by foot uh so yeah I thought I had a I had an okay like not a bad game but my boy used by foot like I had three shots on goal you know you’d like to kick those if you can um one of them I shanked really badly so that’s a that’s a bad one and I I Tred to bite off a few kicks that potentially I could have hit a little bit better um but yeah all in all I thought you know obviously it’s nice to to get some recognition here and there um but I thought was our best player by mile and he led from the front all night and you know to kick three goals in the first half on track for six for the game was uh pretty special to see and and be there you know witnessing it so um no it was it was a good outing from from him and uh yeah I think he led from the front and helped us get the W in the end yeah very modest manate he was good he that Mark he took to kiky second that was you there A lot of times yeah where you’re like who I didn’t know that he could do that but he did that and it was a nice very courageous to of him to do that so he did have a ripper who could be a little smoky for the brown though um now that well we’re going to know tonight but Isaac Heeney I mean that has been probably the biggest talking point of of the round so far you wouldn’t have seen that game at all because obviously you were playing but um the game itself was incredible I mean that’s what s ker are capable of that’s what we’ve spoken about when they play their best footy they like they really took it up to you boys up there at the gabber and um when they play their brand and they play um a lot of good footy um yeah the Sydney I mean you reckon Sydney are I don’t know you reckon well they’ve gone 13 and one obviously their last two games uh have been close losses do you think like is it now does it gives does it give hope to teams that are below him that okay well we’ve got the recipe we can see what we can do when we play Sydney 100% I I feel like it’s and I saying actually about St Kilda after they played us up here that it’ll help them what what what happened up here will help them for the rest of the season because they took us on and they got plenty of reward in that in that last quarter especially so I wasn’t surprised to see the score line uh other than the fact that you know the swans coughed up a bit of a lead and yeah those those types of things are things you don’t see from Sydney a lot um you normally see them come from behind and win so yeah no I think it’s great for the competition everyone would now look at the swans and think you know we’re a genuine chance so if we play the way that you know the Saints played and the Dockers played against Sydney at theg like those little things there definitely in the back of the mind I think it just shows how even the comp is I mean we’ve spoken about it that much but even the North Melbourne game North Melbourne beat the go Coast who you know are flying um and North obviously their last six weeks have been if there was a ladder for just this last six weeks they’d probably be on the border of the eight L they’ve been playing some really really good football and you know bit of their footy in that game in particular in the last quarter you talk about um moments that probably matter for them in the long run like there was some moments where a lot of their players really stood up and to be able to um have experienced that in in the real heat of the battle Yeah unbelievable what what were your thoughts on Di’s comments after that game well oh you can’t swear we know you can’t swear but I do like it because as a go Coast fan yeah I like it if you’re a go Coast fan you want to see that passion because go Coast right 32 points they win on the weekend they go to 36 top eight there’s clearly a question mark over outside of the goal Coast can they win and you play them up on the goie like it’s as hard as anything and they’ve shown that they’ve beaten Collingwood they’ve beaten teams up there that are very good sides so then you know have the challenge of coming to Melbourne and um well Melbourne or whatever it may be and and not get the job done like it must be frustrating from a go Coast Fan’s point of view so I yeah to answer your question I love the passion that he showed and it shows you know the success that he brings and the expectation that he brings it’d be a great coach to play Under yeah I would love to be inside the four walls this week to see what the follow-ups been from that because obviously it’s been heavily talked about in the media and everyone would have been talking about it you know you know families and all that kind of stuff so all the players would would have heard um so I wonder what the follow-up was like like what was the review like was the review really harsh or was it you know picking the eyes out of it or not doing anything at all like I would have loved to have seen what happened this week at the Go Coast HS I would too and I can’t wait to see they got P adelay this week up on the go Coast so you know you talk about another really challenging game and a really good Sid in Port like it it just shows the closest of the season I mean it’s been an unbelievable season so far from a spectacle point of view you know the Collingwood ESS a game on Friday I think a lot of people probably chose Collingwood but you know for snn to I mean and and there was talk I think it was last week that snn and North were the only two sides to not have beaten the top eight team at that point of the season and now snn have gone and done that and shut the dats out like it just shows the the closeness of the Season which is great to see I did see something about that to say like Collingwood are now outside of the eight so they didn’t actually beat a top eight side so I did see that I do not care what that is because we all regard Collingwood as a top eight team so yeah um yeah it’s it was a good round of 40 even the the gws cartton game that was another ripping game Carlton obviously had a big lead and then Giants to you know to go back the other way and end up winning by um 12 points it’s it’s a crazy top eight like I’m looking here right now 13th 32 and fifth jalong on 40 points so there’s two games between fth and 13th it’s mind blowing mate it shows how important it is to win early games in the season and at that time you don’t realize until you get to these rounds and it’s like far out I wish we won this game I wish we won that game so it’s going to be Anish couple weeks coming up it is it is I feel like personally like this time of the year right like I was talking to someone about it today um this time of the year is probably one of the hardest times for AFL players and AFL clubs in general like winter in Melbourne you know we all know what it’s like down there it gets a bit cold gets cold everywhere regardless of where you are but you know the body starts to hurt a little bit more there’s so much uh media scrutiny whatever you want to call it like everyone’s trying to you know pick the eyes out of everything that’s going on and you know your game my game the teams game it becomes a lot and it does this time of year I feel like those teams that can manage that really well and the ones that can stand up and continue to just keep keep going it goes a long way and as you said you got to win games early in the season to to put yourself up there but this time of year especially I feel like is one of the hardest times of the year as a player especially I feel um so yeah keep working through those those situations and trying to bring the best out in yourself daily it’s hard m i I couldn’t agree more I think also from a like um Health point of view from a footy list like this is probably the time when there’s players that are missing games because of well it could be age or could be load on the body whatever it may be like it it is it’s a good point you make these really are the month of July and and the early month of August it’s probably the most challenging time because there’s play there’s players that are battling injury and whatnot but there’s teams still vying for top eight so it is crazy um I did want to um mention Adam Simpson he obviously uh well what is it step down you just I think mutually agreed to part ways today um you know and we always like giving love to just the footy Community really I feel like he’s been um you know he’ll go down as one of the great coaches for West Coast I was I was obviously a part of that game where they beat us in the 2018 Grand Final and for um him to be their coach and have the success that he had I read this stat today where I think he had like a 65% win um ratio whatever it may be and that is including the last what four or five years where or maybe four years where they’ve you know been around the bottom of the ladder so it shows how remarkable he was when he first started there and the success that they had I remember there was no more intimidating place to play the West Coast over at Perth stadium in front of all their fans because they have some di hard fans so um wishing Adam Simpson all the best for whatever his future endeavors endeavors are in terms of footy yep I completely agree with you mate he’s a star and I know holds him in very high regard as well so the coaches would be um yeah obviously a bit sad to to lose someone of such high caliber uh today but I’m sure he’ll be on to bigger and better things in the next phase whatever that holds he will be uh before we move on to the unless you’ve got another footy chat from this weekend I do want to say you know how last week we mentioned um how I’ve kicked some really good points in my time yeah did you see LD ‘s Point against go Coast I did I did I did mate I’m if he kicks that that’s goal of the year yeah that was pretty good that was good man he burns off two players and then shrug someone and then had a like a fading away drop punt which was yeah which was Special M their Midfield I mean we wer going to keep talking about this round but I if I’m a North Melbourne fan I’m extremely excited about sheel uh MCCA Davis UNC simin Ward law that that little core of Midfield players they’re going to be very very special as a group yep I did see something today um saying like they’ve got that that group and that they’re going to have a high draft pick this year should they use that draft pick to go and get because I think it’s a very top heavy Midfield draft so should they use that to go and get something else would be interesting because they do they’ve got such good players mate they’ve got unbelievable players that are going to be there for a long period of time and just going to be exciting to watch as a whole yep and I was naive to mention Tristan Cherry is that how you say trest cherry x e r i he’s another very very good Ruckman very underrated and young as well so very good Midfield anything that caught your eye from this round before we uh move on to the next round no mate that’s it so we may as well get into the tips for this week and uh it starts off with a ripping game Collingwood jalong on the Friday night MCG who you got mate uh I’ve got the cats I think the pies uh they’re not yeah they’re not playing their best footy at the moment um they’ve had a lot of injuries as we all know but I just think the cats last week they showed Hawthorne uh how good they are and showed us as a whole footy world how good they are and not to forget about them so I’ve got them winning on Friday night Brody M’s a big out for Collingwood massive out um I think Mas Cox is returning very soon which is going to be big in for Collingwood but yeah Brody M’s a big out I want to say jalong as well because I think their last three weeks or two two or three weeks has been it’s a reminder of how good they are as you’ve said but I want to also beat you in tipping so I’m going to go Collingwood what’s next uh UT Stadium Hawthorne versus freem manal ripping game good uh I’m going to tip the Hawks to bounce back they’re always tough to be down in tazzy and yeah I’ll tip them against the Dockers I agree with you I’m going to I’m not going to side with you on this I um I’ll go on the opposite side I agree with you I think in tazzy they’re almost like a fortress for him they don’t they really lose down in tazzy so I’m going to go Hawthorne scg uh is the following game Sydney versus North Melbourne so this will be a really really good test to see you know how North Melbourne are traveling because their last six six as I’ve said has been really good against the L leer Sydney so this is going to be a good game I think this is a danger game for the swans like North’s Midfield V the swans Midfield we just talked about how good they are uh I feel like this is going to be a lot closer than what people think so I am tipping Sydney but I just think it’s going to be a very close game it could could be an upset okay I I I agree with everything you say I think Sydney will win I’m intrigued to see if you’re an opposition coach like North Melbourne they obviously have will Phillips who does a run with roll who are you tagging if obviously sry if Heeney plays Heeney let’s just presume Heeney plays who you going to hany Warner or Gorden no I’m going to Gorden I feel like Gorden sets him up very well from the wing majority of the time so I’d be going to him I would too I agree with that I reckon he’s a high again I don’t know I imagine he’s a real high score involvement player because he gets involved in a lot of plays uh where next Bulldogs cartton Marvel Stadium 435 we get touch on that yeah um the night games on Saturday Adelaide oval uh Adelaide versus St Kilda this is a good game I’ve got the crows at home I think they’re very hard to beat at home we experienced it early in the year and I think they’re playing you know they played some pretty good footy last week against us but so did the Saints so tough to always go over there to Adelaide and beat him so I’m going to tip the crows I agree with that I’m not going to be different here I think it’s going to yeah I think it’s an exciting game because I I like watching like I like watching Adelaide and the way they play especially at home they play a very attacking brand so it’s exciting to see because s play a very good defensive brand so yeah it’s going to be good game I’m Tim adade uh the other Saturday night game Melbourne versus Essen and MCG this is a good game max gorn’s out so they’re gonna have to play um another rock potentially I don’t know who’s going to play Rock for him Tom McDonald or oh who is the who you going with uh I don’t know I feel like G’s a big out the bombers have have shown us now you know what they’re capable of oh man it’s a hard one it’s a hard one de’s had a pretty good game last week against the Eagles I’m gonna I’m going to tip the D’s cuz I know I know whichever one I’m tipping here you’re tipping the opposite y I’ll tip the D that’s a big one Melbourne cuz I think right in the whole AFL right think of every team who is the most important player to their team can you think of one player yeah or gny he’s pretty in my opinion it’s Max gone and the fact that you’re tipping Melbourne is ballsy mate that’s a big tip because are playing very well so I’m going to go well I just yeah I feel like you know when that happens I feel like someone else will get their responsibility to stand up and make a statement you know it might be someone that’s been in the vfl or you know someone that’s been played out of position and wants to take that rock position like I just think it’s a good opportunity if someone to stand up and normally well I know as a player I’m I’d be ready for that I’d be ready and I’d be excited for it so look forward to seeing that game that will be interesting uh the Sunday games Gold Coast versus Port Adelaide this is a riper up on the Gold Coast yeah well Gold Coast haven’t lost the game at home so I’ll be tipping them but this is a beig cracker I think Port will be up for the fight uh the Midfield battle going to be huge and after di comments though I feel like they’ll be getting a bit of a rev up this week their Suns and they’ll be ready to go it will be Ripper I’m going port cuz you’re going Gold Coast but it’s going to be a ripping game this is almost game of the round for me I reckon this is going to be yeah a really good game um the other game other than your game which is West Coast Brisbane is 320 Richmond versus gws at the MCG yeah I’ll go the Giants for this one I think you know they got back to their best last week so they didat the t y y I think gws as well so I’m Keen to see how we end up at the end of this round tipping wise uh that obviously leaves our games um start with my one because it’s the Saturday evening Twilight Western Bulldogs V Caron the Marvel Stadium as I touched on before mate it does not get any easier for us and there’s no easy games in football so we’ve obviously got the the blue Baggers and as that uh that boy of well the man that I ran into at Southland said to me bag is by 60 I’m hoping that’s not going to be the case hopefully um we can go out there and yeah be ready for for what they give us and and we can get back to playing our brand of footy and um you know one thing I am excited about is we’re we’re excited we’re extremely excited about the challenge ahead um you know Colton are clearly one of the best sides in the competition have been the last two years we’re going to play in front of a really good crowd um love playing in front of the good crowds cartton fans come out and drones and um it’s going to be really exciting to um yeah to face them really looking forward to it yeah I’m looking forward to seeing this because I personally think that you match up really well against C anyone you go to Ker’s in pretty good form oh I think watching cripper he’s spends a bit of time in the Rock goes Rock mid Rock mid so obviously interesting yeah there’ll be plan around that but yeah you’ve obviously got to you know you got to respect what they’re good at and it’s not just obviously Patty Crips in there Sam Walsh is in there obviously um Adam Cher’s being back um they’ve got players that go through there who you know we’ve got to not let have let them have you know what they want and and use their strengths so I’m sure we’ll have some plans but yeah really looking forward to it it’s going to be it’s going to be hot early I think that’s one thing that um you know we do you know when we’re playing our best footy where our contest and our pressures high and it was you know very poor on the weekend against a team that likes to flick it around so you know not expecting Carlton to flick it around the way Port adlay do but having to bring that pressure is what we’re you know we’re got to do so yeah it’s going to be Ripper all right we’ll get into my game now um we got the Eagles on Sunday and as you touched on already uh simos been given the or mutually agreed to part way so I’m not sure if he’s actually coaching or not this weekend apparently he might be so it might be his last game as a bit of a farewell which would actually be nice I feel as a as a coach that’s given so much to a footy Club um to send him off with a a bit of a tribute game um but no it’s going to be a cracking contest we love getting over to Perth it’s the longest trip in the book for us uh sixh hour flight mate as you probably you’d know um we did it that year in 21 when we made the granny uh but yeah now looking forward to it I think you know obviously they’re they’ve been very good at home this year so we got to expect their best and uh got some great players still amongst their group so going to be going to have to be our best on Sunday afternoon you must be expecting um because if it is obviously Adam Simpson’s last game probably a bit of a spirited game by West Coast obviously they’ve got the talent I mean you know Tim Kelly Elliot yo Liam Dugen like Harley Reed obviously they’ve got some quality players in their group you must be yeah expecting a spirited challenge by them and and one they want to if it is Adam’s last game um finish his career on a on a good note yeah 100% uh I know there’s the thing that goes around you know when the coach gets or the coach leaves like the next week they have an interim coach and you know release the shackles just play footy boys go and have fun and Y more often than not that goes a long way to helping the group um play their best footy so yeah completely agree and we’re going to have to be ready for what’s coming I will be looking forward to this I cannot wait to see hopefully Harley Reed try and take you on with a fend and you trying to relish that challenge and stick that tackle that’ll be a sight to see so I wish you all the very best mate thank you mate I look forward to that challenge too that’s it for the round of going to go with uh who I think is starting to become really valued externally and raid is a guy by the name of Trent Rivers he has switched roles and with Peta going out he’s come in and taken up essentially a full-time Midfield role and I feel like he’s really relished I I enjoy watching him play I like um I think he’s very crafty and um he’s a great decision maker has a a very good penetrating kick um and has the ability to get in and out of um traffic I really enjoy watching him play and he’s the guy that I want to give a bit of love to this round love it mate mine’s actually a North melbour player we sort of talked about him before he’s missed a bit of footy through injury and little things this year but it’s his first year his name’s Colby mcer I think he’s he’s one I want to give love to because he’s such a young player you know coming into the system he had 37 touches on um Saturday I think it was was it Saturday they played yeah Saturday Saturday yep and yeah he’s just he just he’s got this like aura about him that he’s going to be a player of the future so I want to give some love to him cuz um I’ve I’ve seen him up front close and personal when we played against him in Adela ear earlier in the season and yeah I was very impressed by what he has to offer I love it he’s going to be uh a real push late for the Rising Stone might have missed maybe too many games but he’ll be right up there so I I love it mate he’s a player that I enjoy watching as well love it uh all right my little thing I’ve got one for you okay so you don’t swim a lot in the pool do you no don’t like swimming so if but if you are in the pool right because I went to the pool yesterday after I always do it day after a game go down for a swim swim about half a k just to start you know loosen up and start to feel good again yep you’re in the lane and you’re swimming Y and you see and you see someone next to you and you’re literally neck and neck going down the pool 50 meter pool your neck and neck yep does it does it become a race in your opinion well I’m going to say yes cuz anything I do I compete up so you know that all too well so I’m going to say yes and secondly I’m going to also say I will never be neck and neck with someone because I am a horrendous swimmer so yeah that’s my answers what are your answers well yeah I felt like like all of a sudden you get this like hit of energy and you’re like Hang on we’re racing UV me we’re going we’re head we’re going head to head so it’s the old put the head down take no breaths and just go as as you can freestyle no just like go a little bit quicker and see if they go a bit quicker and if they go a bit quicker then you go a bit quicker and it’s just a bit of a you know did that happened Mouse did that happen between you who won yep the other person won oh so I would have committed the next two hours to Freestyle swimming just so I can beat this guy because I would be it wouldn’t sit it wouldn’t sit nice right with me n they had flippers on so I was going all right I was actually trying a little bit too hard so okay yeah I was flat though I just wanted to ask you that question cuz if the same thing you think about the same thing like say you’re going for a run which you don’t normally do anyway but um if someone’s running next year it becomes a race doesn’t itely does m it absolutely does yep did you um little did you did you actually swim much when you were young all the time yeah we did Squad and all that kind of stuff yep loved it oh so you’re a very so You’ smash me in swimming so that was going to be my next question who would win out of you and me in swimming you’d be eating my uh my bubbles mate me hey isn’t it true though when we both retire which is hopefully a long way away for you in particular uh we’ve spoken about obviously doing marathons and triathlons but the reason why you don’t want to do a triath triathon is because you’re scared of swimming in the ocean um and the Open Water yep yep yeah well I’m the exact same mate I just wanted to put it out there for those who are intrigued in US Post footy that is uh why we will never be doing a triathlon because we’ll never swim in the open water and have you seen another talking point Tipper actually told me to mention this tonight on the potty um have you seen the shark movie Under Paris oh I’ve heard about it yeah it’s on Netflix yeah it’s on Netflix so apparently for the Paris Olympics they’re trying to clean up the river so the river in Paris trying to clean it up so they can do a swimming race in it for the Olympics no thanks and it’s it’s three weeks away and they’re not going to have enough time to do it but they’re trying to but this shark movie mate is under Paris it’s in In this River and they do a swimming race and they get attacked by sharks you got to watch it thank you if I’m swimming in the Olympics open Open Water Swim I’m not doing that mate sorry I’ve watched that movie and I’m not doing that Josh two of my biggest fears as I know they your biggest fears is open water and sharks two and two heck to the no I ain’t going near that so N I would never do that what if you had a chance to win a gold medal nah I’ll settle for not doing it mate I’m not doing that I’d rather not risk my life I’m all good me and swimming me and swimming just don’t go together um we obviously mentioned our uh Brooks Bloom of the week so again love you Kimmy I just wanted to quickly give a shout out because I promise I would because I was going to cross my mind uh I did a Playbook session I know playbooks a big fan of you and I um love doing our playbooks um I did a session with Willam and cops came down and helped me out and as a great session I told him I’ll
