[Music] hi folks welcome to blue and gold talk the video on the channel if you’re new that Buffalo Sabers anything is talked about and today I want to talk about a potential trade rumor I’m hearing out there okay and I’m hearing it in more than one place I want to talk about this one because this one might have some Merit to it we’ll see we’ll see I mean I’m not going to tell you guys that this is happening or but what if it does what could it mean to the Sabers now we’re looking at a top six deal here okay and uh it’s with the Philadelphia Flyers here we go and Joel faraby guys is the target tonight uh 22 goal Winger 6 foot 186 lb as you see he had 22 goals 28 assists 50 points a minus 13 and you can bet he’s in the doghouse with torts and I’ll show you why here we go all right look over on the right and look at the hits 82 games 67 hits that’s not something torella accepts so like this is just what it is with this guy but this is absolutely a young Talent this guy would fit in perfect with the Sabers he’s 24 and he just turned 24 in February now let’s look at the team hitting in Philly and if you look down on the list there you see farab there and number 11 and there he is uh 67 the 67 hits I mean look at haway at 326 hits good Lord hey and then you got delorier of course could still be in the lineup but uh it is what it is we will look at uh just farbe and I want to do bring up Frost as we do with number 14 also these could be two Targets for the Sabers I don’t think they’ll part with frost he is their centerman on the second line I wouldn’t think that Frost really would be something they give up on and it’s not something we really need I’m I got my eyes kind of more on the FY thing now what would we have to give up to get a Joel FY that’s the question guys that’s the question and if you look at our depth which I didn’t cut out I didn’t clip out but if you look at our depth you’re you’re going to have to you’re going to have to talk about either kulok or Osan as part of a deal I’m going to be realistic I’m not going to tell you that we’re going to trade like you know somebody that we’re going to have to give something up to get a guy like this and and and if if the Sabers went now this I I would get this guy over Ellers any day eers Ellers guys I’m sorry I I know it’s eers but I mean I keep calling them Ellers cuz I’ve been really angry with saber Sons when I’m angry I can’t think okay if we went and got Nikolai eers okay it’s going to cost more and and for me he’s just I just it’s not I just I’d prefer this if we can get a guy like farby I mean I think he could come over to Buffalo and fit in like a glove something like this and in our top six guys I could see this being in our top six it’s not a 30 goal stud or anything but he might be on a team like Buffalo got to remember that was a defensive first team over in Philly a grind out team and this is why he’s not going to fit in with Tor system he’s just not whereas Lindy yeah he’s going to get the team more aggressive he’s going to get the team more physical but he’s also going to teach the team to to run and Gun he’s not going to just he’s going to we’re not losing the Run and Gun system with Lindy guys we’re just going to have a more responsible tougher team I believe I mean this is I see what Lindy did his first year with the new NHL rules he was so far in front of the all the coaches back then in ‘ 06 he was so far in front so far that teams were coping our system that’s how far Lindy was in front of the other coaches back then so if we go and and somehow get this guy in a deal what do we give up this is the question my back is giving out again my God I got to go down and get the recycle bins in a sec guys uh let’s take a quick look all right I’m going to go to um uh I don’t think anybody on the team all right like if they wanted like a a Zach Benson let’s you know like no we’re not going to do it of course not um you know but if you look down our pipeline okay let’s be realistic too um you know what believe it or not we could toss a guy like Brett Murray okay now absolutely torella will be interested in a big big physical guy like this okay so we make him as part of the sweetener this what this just my way of thinking guys and then maybe we can avoid the kolic thing could we avoid it is the question and no I don’t think that we’d even go near trading helenus I don’t think that’s even an issue so I’ll I’ll put that right out there um I think the sabes are very high in this kid haven’t even done a video on him yet I will eventually um and we’re high in Kulik also and we’re high in osen so you know oh yeah I mean you know like if if we’re going to how about you know how about we we talk talk I don’t know you know I don’t like to get rid of the taller guys but ANM Berg i’ I’d like to um I’d like to see this deal done because this this would really you know guys I I’ll let you guys tell me what you think throw in a piece tell you what let’s throw Brett Murray in okay let’s do a fun thing here give me somebody with Brett Murray who you think we could pry this guy away from Philly in a deal now keep in mind guys $5 million Cit next four years okay the next four years let me confirm that but I know I’m right um I’m positive I’m right but I mean I just want to double check because um Philly’s in cap trouble they need to unload some cap just so you know that’s another thing okay right now Philly they pretty much have their roster 22 out of 23 filled but they’re they’re 829 K in the hole 830,000 they have to clear off the roster um yeah the next four years 5 million doll capit a year here’s the thing why it could work too he is his pay let’s go to his salary the next four years okay yeah his salary the next four years total salary Wayne Nots base salary okay total salary 5 5.75 6 and six so we’re going to be paying more than 5 million a year to this guy if we if we ever got him in a deal and there’s rumors out there about him in Buffalo there’s a few out there uh there’s just a few out there with him period him and Morgan Frost are are two Targets in Philly and when they T when they talked about faraby the Philly the Philly announcers of Philly commentators kind of giggled because they know like he’s not hitting enough and there’s no way torella will accept that so what do you guys think would you be interested in getting a guy like this because for me this would solidify the top six it’s the right age it’s the right size I and you guys know how I’m always talking about physical play I’m not that worried if we go get a guy that hits about one hit a game I I I can handle it I really can you know here’s another here’s another thing guys we should talk about Clutterbuck okay is available and free agency right now Clutterbuck we probably could get for 1 and A2 million a year guys I think it’d be worth the risk to go get him okay I know he’s older but guys think about it I wouldn’t mind having those hits also on our lineup I mean we could absolutely use the extra physical play I got no problem with that whatsoever um yeah yeah he is absolutely not there and I don’t know what they’re going to do with Clutterbuck I mean they’re going to have to figure something out the Islanders but the Islanders like to get older players eh they’ll probably wind up signing them but let me just check his numbers last year just to give you guys Clutterbuck numbers here because it really is something all right Kyle Clutterbuck 82 games played versatile played all 82 games last year guys seven goals 12 assists plus four 273 hits 55 blocks you know it it really is something be an added Edge into the team I’m just saying guys wouldn’t cost much it wouldn’t cost much he’s 36 he’ll be 37 sign him for one year a million bucks really 6 foot 212 pounds Matt Martin’s available also these are guys I wouldn’t mind the Sabers Landing it wouldn’t hurt how about we package you I hate to do this cuz I just said you don’t give up on Krebs but if we package Krebs in a fair be deal we send Krebs Murray second rounder get Fair be over what do you guys think of that you know that would be fair you know cuz Krebs there’s a lot of potential there something to think about I think because if we could land a a top six guy that hasn’t yet hit his stride yet and is already a top six I know they got him listed on the depth charts in the bottom six in Philly he’s really a top six and he’s played top six minutes in Philly also just a thought guys just a thought on on a a big potential trade if we ever went and got this guy cuz the rumors out there sometimes where there smoke there’s fire see you soon guys [Music]
