I’m not a Leaf’s fan but I’m totally surprised that Marchand isn’t suspended. Did he not push a linesman last game? I mean I thought you can’t touch an official.
The body language of the Bruins at the end of the last game … they looked rattled. I think there's more pressure on them closing out now that they've blown the series lead.
This Mathews situation is starting to get scarry
He was at the morning skate, so my guess is he will be in the lineup. He may not play a regular shift on a line but if he can skate, why not use him on the powerplay. The team just right out said he was not playing in game 6 so again my guess is they are considering playing him tonight even at a limited capacity.
They're winning without Matthew's, why would they play him
Id rather an 80% Matthews on the 4th line vs a 100% Gregor .
Being superstitious, how we played as a team and won the last 2 games without him, I can say a big part of me does not want him in the lineup tonight.. IF, the same team from the last 2 games shows up.. But in the same breath it's hard to say you don't want him in the lineup

Mathews has a broken nine iron on tee 12. So he'll be out 2-5 games.

Here is something you didn't know…to protect everyone..everyone including Matthews skated for 15 minutes…then they all left the ice.
Toronto needs to know they can beat Boston instead of believing when you believe you're putting doubts in your mind gotta have lots of confidence. Remember Joel Edmunson was on the 2021 Montreal team that came back from 1-3 series down to beat Toronto and Ryan Reeves was on the 2022 Rangers team that was down 1-3 against Pittsburgh and won now Toronto has both of those players that can say we've been here before we know we will win this series.
Have not followed the leaves for 10 years.. but Matthews on Penalty kill, if he is able to play, would be scary for the Bruins. That all depends on the type of mystery injury.

I believe Mattthews has an MCL sprain when he was dragged down by Macavoy behind the net.
They have been playing better without him, everyone isn’t so concerned with always trying to get him the puck.
He'll look good in Utah.
I hope the Leafs continue the tight play and shut them down early, and have the energy to outplay Boston. If they lose and they put in a great effort, I'll be okay with that. I'll be sad because I may not see my boy Mitch in a Leafs uniform next season, though. And that does make me sad.

The last two games have seen the team coalesce into a working unit. Inserting Matthews with his condition and physical strength not fully known could severely disrupt the progress the team has made in becoming a cohesive unit. Dance with what brung 'ya and see what transpires!
