Did The Panthers Get WORSE?

The Florida Panthers have seen a lot of roster movement this offseason due to the lack of cap space. They managed to resign their major piece Reinhart but will the losses of other players mean this team will be worse? Let me know your thoughts?

  1. Yes? A little bit?
Gotta remember that we have young players coming up from the minors – imagine a player like Mackie Samoskevich or Uvis Balinskis coming up and performing in our system better then OEL or Tarasenko

  2. They have Bobrobski still and lots of weapons agreed 100%. The cup still belongs to them until another team can take it away. Oilers vs Panthers is my pick for a finals re-match but the Oilers return the favor next time around.

  3. Honestly every single Panthers departure hurts more emotionally than it does on the ice. Cats arguably got better, at worst they’re the same.

  4. Their core players are still there which I think is the most important part if they want to repeat. They lost a TON of depth tho which is definitely gonna hurt them this year. I think the panthers are more focused on keeping the ball rolling long term over trying to push for another cup next season. Their window will be open a longggg time. They probably did get a bit worse now, but they left the door open for more shots in the future by securing their best players for years to come even if it meant letting guys walk. Who knows, maybe the guys they‘ve had sitting in the AHL will turn out to be studs

  5. I guess Zito wanted to keep as much players as he could but couldn't and had to make tough decisions

  6. Florida panthers made some of those players and some got paid because of what they accomplished I'm not afraid. Zito knows what's up

  7. the players who left where good in the panthers system but people forget OEL was as good in other teams systems same with the other losses you cant know if someone will be good untill they play with a team for a few months rino was seen as a bust before moving to the panthers same with bennet and tkachuk

  8. They don't have the money to make big splashes, but they still have their core locked down. The only place I feel is iffy is their D core. I feel they are still an elite team, but time will tell

  9. On paper yes. However long term I think we’ll be fine. the big thing is keeping Rhino and locking in Lundell for the foreseeable future. Kid is a stud

  10. It's not about having the best players. It's about having the right players. Remember a lot of players your talking about were throw away players on other teams. But when they came here they got their chance to shine.

  11. a SUPER small step back just to have a huge step forward when the Bob contract is up. Also, the 4th line will be better this year than last. Stenlund is the only 4th line loss, Lomberg wasnt good lmao

  12. Next season they have to deal with Vaerhegue contract on top of Bennett and Ekblad. So far, they got a little worse on paper, but some of these additions can surprise.
