your an idiot thinking Marner should be traded. Why do you think Mathews is so good its because of Marner. Marner should be staying hes the best playmaker since Doug Gilmour and Matts Sundin. get rid of 10.9 million or get rid of puck hog i want to do everything myself Tavares then he looses the puck for 11 million. Get rid of Tavares hes useless. Marner score more points per game than Tavares, Nylander and Mathews. look t the stats. and if you say the playoffs then Mathews, Nylander and pretty much everyone should be traded. People here saying this is a bad deal. I dont understand this logic. Max is a decent player and the type the Leafs actually need. He can score a few goals here and there but what hes good at is getting under players skin. Leafs dont have many of these type of players and someone like Domi is what they need. They dont need anymore scoring forwards. This team needs to get more physical.
4 years for Domi… guess Leafs had no choice but to agree. Thought maybe 3.5M, but this is close enough. His chemistry with #34 is why he got a new contract to stay, and hopefully that continues. That chemistry also allows them to envision no Marner around, and that the team would not totally collapse without him. If Bertuzzi agrees to 4.5M x 4, fine with me. More likely he'll want 5M x 5. If so, Leafs might have to take a pass and look elsewhere.
The Oilers organization make far better decisions than the Leafs. Treliving makes terrible decisions . How do the Leafs miss out on better players than Domi like Foegele, Henrique and a guy like Elkholm on D? Oilers game with one goal of a Stanley Cup. Leafs tie up mediocre players for years.. They are terrible at spotting value and talent. That's 50 years of failure. Look at the Oilers and Panthers organizations, far , far better than Leafs "scouting".

No Bertuzzi not a fan go for Stamkos or Debrusk on short term deals.
Bertuzzi should of been their priority at forward. He's a much better forward than Domi .
