  1. even with K " son— a first round>> second ! for sure }}} exit for Pens… IF they make the playoffs ! bad moove ! as they have close to $$ 30 millions in just 3 AGING super stars. !!!

  2. Petry is definitely NOT gonna get booed, his reasons were legit. That being said he isnt gonna be a Hab this year, imo its too chaotic and its backwards as far as Hughes' recent moves to free up space for the kids.

  3. Matt its really not complicated, if you are giving an A+ now, would be ready to give an A++ for a futur return on a Petry trade ? if the answer is yes, then you guys are saying the same thing. Also, Dubrus is a horrible GM, and the Carlson trade is not good at all. You need good defence, you know dudes that can show stats in the Plus not the Minus. Pittsburgh will not make the series for a second year. Nest time Dubrus is out, there is not a team dumb enough to hire him again.

  4. Sorry Vito, Matt's right on not being sold on the Karlsson Pitts marriage, yes offensively its cool but lets be honest whats the difference between an EK/Burns combo vs EK/Letang combo….history shows that Erik can only putthose numbers up if he doesnt have to share the ice OR actually play D (Sharks didnt care if he didnt for obvious reasons) Pens will need EVERYONE to play D because they will actually be trying to win.

  5. Hughes managed to move Pitlick and Hoffman without any salary retention and pick up 3 assets while keeping the additional cap space added to less than a million dollars. Excellent work.

  6. I do not see any reason to retain salary. He is already a discount. D on the right are hard to find.

  7. Greetings from Pittsburgh! Enjoyed the show. Petry was hurt most of the season, we never got a good look at him. Good hockey talk!

  8. Kent Hughes create great thing and move players that we dint expect
Great jobs getting rid of Pitlick and Hoffman (Off man) and picked up some assets that will be traded shortly

  9. Petry was absolutely staying in Pittsburgh if the Karlsson deal fell through. Petry played at a 0.5 ppg with scraps for pp time. He and Pettersson played well as our most consistent pair for a good stretch last year. Petey is absolutely a top 4 rd with 2nd and prospect type value for 3mil or under.

  10. Just the fact that Ken Hughes didn't have a press conference talking about Petry's acquisition tells me enough to know that he's not going to be here for long. I'd be VERY surprised if he's still here when the season starts. (Quite the blockbuster deal…and no presser = its not over)

  11. It is a very good trade Hughes has made. potential in this trade wether is is more trade wise or playing Petry will not hurt the habs? unless Petry is not that good defencemen anymore??? we will see what happens soon.

  12. in a cap limit of 80 million alowing contract of 10.5 and more is more than 10 % on the cap for 1 player. Sorry takes 4 good lines to win the Stanley cup in 2023-2024 and moving on. ??? Since the speed of the game has never been as fast paste, injuries are linked tot all that fast speed game .And dangerous body checks needs to be resolved and seriou penalties must fit the dangers of such body checks meant to injure players .NHL need to address this growing problem.
